Last year saw the ESReality Movie Awards for the first time. For that reason, the competition was particularly fierce because movies from more than one year were considered. The categories, nearly the same as this year, were as follows:
Best Picture – the most outstanding, well-made film which also offers a lot in terms of skill presented. Originality as well as universal appeal should be important factors. Golden Llama 2002: fooze
Best Audio - the movie with the best (or best fitting) soundtrack, with good in-game / miscelaneous sound added, a movie whose sound "makes" the movie. The winner of this one should be good to listen to without watching even. Golden Llama 2002: ClanBase EC III Movie
Best Tech - a movie with the best special effects, or best technology and the most skilful use of those. Important factors: the final effect and the skill needed to use / achieve certain effects. Golden Llama 2002: Badge 3.0
Best Editing and Direction - a movie with the cleanest editing, the best camerawork and the best directing. Golden Llama 2002: fooze
Best Fragmovie - exactly what it says - best movie with frags, but we're not judging frags only. Golden Llama 2002: FDE2
Best Non-Frag / Trickjump Movie - a movie that showcases skill but not focused primarily on frags or a movie that does not show skills altogether. Tribulation
Best Presentation - a movie that says: "hey, that's us!" about a clan or "hey, that's my favourite player!" In short, one that presents a particular person / clan best. Golden Llama 2002: fooze
