Hi, as most of you probably know already, Tox manage to win the first ever Swedish Championship of Quake Live (quakesm.se). The grand final was played between Tox and Spart1e and ended 4-0.

The complete result from the final day:

Number four is here! The FACEIT Winter Season is in full swing, with Belarus Cypher and Russia evil battling it out for the top place thus far.

As each Sunday, we are starting at 09:00 CDT. You can already sign-up now! United Kingdom Daniel "ddk" Kapadia will be bringing all the action to you on United Kingdom FACEIT TV, starting live at 09:30 CDT. This Sunday he is accompanied by Italy Alessandro "stermy" Avallone!

The FACEIT Winter Season will be played each Sunday for the coming months, where 128 players can join and play for $125, as well as points to qualify them for the Finale.

This is a North American Event, designed to help players to grow and play with an even playing field. We want players to be able to develop skills by playing other players who can challenge them mentally in the gametype of duel in Quake Live. There will be no prizes, no streams, no playoffs, just matches that is it for now. We would love to see this grow into a regular league that can run multiple times in a year. So tell your friends to sign up and play. There will be no streams of any kind its designed to strictly help players to meet and play with players in their own skill level. Each League we run will have a separate sign up period and all players will have their elo reassessed when the next league begins. This gives them a chance to further develop their skills in between league events as well as meet new players as you keep getting better.

Sign ups close: 23:00 CST, 15 February 2014
Group Play Begins: 11:00 CST, 16 February 2014
Group Play Ends: 00:00 CDT, 16 April 2014

All players who sign up will be grouped according to their elo from QLRanks.com, on Feb. 15th.

Most of the Swedish Championship of Quake Live has now been played, and the only thing remaining is the final day, where it will be decided which one of the 8 players that is the best Quake Live player of Sweden.

The final day will be played on saturday from 04:00 CDT to 16:00 CDT , and all matches will streamed by United Kingdom Zoot and Mexico Ins on the ZootLive Twitch channel.

The remaining players and match ups are:
Tox vs Funnyb
Spazb0rg vs Stickan
Spart1e vs JewRo
Fazz vs Purri

After that, the matches continue with a winner's- and a loser's bracket, until a winner has been decided.

DeathMatch Radio is proud to announce the upcoming opening of our cpma Quake 3 Challenge Promode Duel Ladder for North America! We are hosting our ladder through www.fraggednation.com. We would like to see the duel communities actively growing and participating in events. We hope the introduction of our ELO system will bring new life to the old platform.

We are also introducing a ql QuakeLive Amateur Duel ladder through fraggednation.com. Its about time DeathMatch Radio spawns onto the QuakeLive Scene and with full force! The Nationscup 2013/14 hosted by basearena.org is kicking off today with the first Clan Arena matches at 15:00 CDT. ICTF will follow on Thursday at 15:00 CDT and on Sunday we finish the week with a nice dose of TDM at 14:30 CDT and CTF at 15:45 CDT.

We will try to provide streams for as much games as possible. Users with active streams interested in streaming games should join #basearena in quakenet and contact spenzer.

Pro Gaming Tours have released their yearly "Best Paying eSports" ranking, and we can find Quake Live on a respectable tenth spot.

Over the last year, Quake Live tournaments have paid out a total of $37,924. United States of America Shane "rapha" Hendrixson tops the list of best earning player this year, slotting home $12,810.

The list is topped by League of Legends, with a staggering $5,270,955 over 98 different tournaments. Second place goes to the other MOBA, DotA2, with $4,435,421. Third place is StarCraft 2 with $3,027,010, which had the most tournaments over the year, namely 104.

The second week of The Swedish Championship of Quake Live is over, and the results from all the round 2 matches are in. Brackets and results are listed below.

As with the last week, all of the round 3 matches will be streamed from tuesday to thursday, by United Kingdom Zoot. There will be a total of 7 matches, with 4 of them being played on wednesday. All matches will be streamed between 12:00 CDT and 16:00 CDT on the ZootLive Twitch channel.


Our main sponsor Zowie has decided to let us organize a lottery where the players, the stream viewers and the audience at Stockholm Esport Arena will have the opportunity to win some of their products.
