Finding the best CSGO gambling sites in 2019 is not that easy. CSGO gambling has had a chequered past to say the least, with many sites being shut down and penalised because of illegal activity.

There is clearly a demand among some Counter-Strike lovers to bet on their favourite game but for the sector to be sustainable long-term, CSGO gambling sites must comply with the laws - primarily for the safety and security of esports fans but also for the sake of themselves.

Cooller out and updated schedule for DHW (189 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 10:25 CST, 25 November 2013 - iMsg
Due to the unfortunate reasons that forced Russia Cooller to drop out of the Sweden DreamHack Winter 2013 Quake Live Tournament we felt that we were forced to make some changes to the groups. The solution we came up with was to upgrade a player from High seed to Top seed and have him replace Cooller in Group D. After a lot of internal discussion we ended up with 2 players who we considered moving to Top Seed. To remove our (possibly) biased opinions we chose to toss a coin to make the decision for us. Sweden Spart1e came out on top and will be moved to Group D. Sweden madix will be the replacement in group B.

Together with this we chose to move the schedule 2 hours on the first day. This is to lets the players have some more time to travel to DreamHack. Note that the times for Friday and Saturday will remain unchanged.

Update: I've confirmed with Cooller that the statement written by Nico is correct and he will be unable to attend DreamHack.

DDK interview by Esportactu (42 comments)
Posted by Infuscomus @ 14:42 CST, 24 November 2013 - iMsg
Esportactu1 has decided to make another interview due to the approaching DreamHack Winter event. The person we interviewed is United Kingdom Daniel "ddk" Kapadia, the famous FACEIT caster, who also worked at QuakeCon 2013 and who will be casting live at DreamHack Winter 2013.

We wanted to learn more about his personal life, his career as a gamer, but most of all about the FACEIT project. How is it going ? What are the next plans? Are there going to be LAN events? And more. Here is an extract of the interview:
France Esportactu: What can you tell us about FACEIT's future ? New cups ? New scenes across the seas ? Comeback of the former 2nd shoutcaster zoot ?

United Kingdom ddk: Let’s first talk about what FACEIT is, just in case anyone is unfamiliar, we have two divisions that make up what FACEIT is. One is our online platform which is a service for gamers to play competitively and the other is the TV division which is there to entertain and bring coverage of tournaments with our mainstream values. When I say mainstream values, we’re talking about a level of professionalism and quality that is expected in mainstream productions for the purpose of reshaping how esports is perceived.

Learn about everything else concerning FACEIT and even more, like how ddk hooked up with a QuakeCon girl, by reading the full interview on Esportactu. As a bonus, we also implemented some small bonus questions from France FM_, Portugal ins, France l1nkin and France lanf3ust.

1. Esportsfrance changed skin and is now back as Esportactu, as some of you if not most of you may already know.

Quake Co-Creator John Carmack Leaves id (279 comments)
Posted by megaman3 @ 15:13 CST, 22 November 2013 - iMsg
As informed by IGN, id Software's JC, John Carmack, decided to leave the company.
"John Carmack, who has become interested in focusing on things other than game development at id, has resigned from the studio. John's work on id Tech 5 and the technology for the current development work at id is complete, and his departure will not affect any current projects. We are fortunate to have a brilliant group of programmers at id who worked with John and will carry on id's tradition of making great games with cutting-edge technology. As colleagues of John for many years, we wish him well".
- Tim Willits, Studio Director, id Software

"I wanted to remain a technical adviser for Id, but it just didn't work out.
Probably for the best, as the divided focus was challenging."
- John Carmack, @ID_AA_Carmack

Since the announcement of the seeds and the groups there has a been a lot of drama and excitement. I share a great deal of this excitement and spent some time looking at the groups and pondering what they will bring. It would have been an amazing tourney regardless but with the extra prize pool gathered by the community it might bring out some more hidden resources of players and even a more fierce competition.

DaHang pre-DreamHack 2013 interview (70 comments)

As part of the pre-coverage to the Winter DreamHack 2013 Winter event, we are introducing an interview with one of the top contenders, United States of America Tim "DaHanG" Fogarty, conducted by QL dueler, United States of America Nuttybr0. The interview explains his excitement to play at DreamHack and his sponsorship with Point Gaming thanks to United States of America Jochs.
DreamHack Winter is coming up in less than 10 days, how do you feel going in?

DaHanG: I feel very good. I haven't played top tier players except rapha a few times but he's never that impressive until days before the events when it's crunch time and he gets back in shape. So it is hard to tell exactly where I'm at but I feel like I am in better shape than I was at QuakeCon earlier this year.
