Event: 125 FPS

The 2nd group stage of the 125 FPS May League starts on the 20th of May.
Four groups with 5 players will be played, three players will pass to playoff stage (top12). 1st group's places wil be put directly to 1/4 playoff's slots, 2nd and 3rd - to 1/8 playoff slots.
All matches are BO3, drop first, cointoss loser starts to drop, start at 11:00 CDT.

"Hi everybody! My name is Aleksey. Beginning with February 2013 I am sponsoring the 125 FPS QuakeLive League (http://125fps.com) and provide almost all of the prize money from my own pocket. Why do I do this? Because like many of us I played the first Quake and even Duke Nukem)) on lan during my childhood. Time goes by and I’m a grown-up man now with all the obligations that come along with it. Yet still I want the Quake community to flourish and reward me and all fans of the game with great matches, tournaments, reports etc.
When there are no tournaments with prize money the interest of players and fans decreases and that’s what I’m trying to combat. I’m sure I’m not the only one. The community has a lot of adult, successful people, as well as many young people who fell in love with the game.
I want to ask the community to help build on the foundation I and the 125fps team have laid and increase the prizes in the coming leagues. Fundraising is nothing new and is employed to collect funds for all kinds of events. I’m sure that many of you will be happy to chip in a sum that’s admissible for yourselves and even happier to follow the tournament you yourself made a contribution to!
Below are various ways to donate money for prize funds of 125fps.com leagues.
The reputation of the 125fps leagues guarantees for a fair distribution of funds. I myself will continue to contribute about 31500p(~1000$) every month.
I propose the following prize money distribution (31500RUR + donations)

1st – 15000RUR + 40% of donations
2nd – 7500RUR + 20% of donations
3rd – 3000RUR + 10% of donations
4th – 2000RUR + 5% of donations
5th - 8th - 1000RUR + 2,5% of donations

15% of the donations will go towards the organization and coverage of the league, in particular recruitment of streamers.
Additionally I suggest limiting the prize pool of every league by 3500$. If there is more than 2500$ worth of donations the surplus funds get transfered to the next league. The biggest donators will be listed below every leagues prize pool (voluntary).
The fundraising will start with the announcement of the next league."

Dear FACEIT and Quake followers,

After many months of supporting Quake Live, we had much feedback that you wanted more, bigger and better. We have worked hard to make this happen. What does this mean? More tournaments, more prizes, and more fun.

We will be hosting a minimum of eight FACEIT Points Tournaments a day starting coming Monday. In these tournaments you will be able to win points. After you have gathered a certain amount of FACEIT Points you will be able to exchange these points for prizes in our new Shop, such as hardware, but also special prizes such as a holiday in Andora, Stermy's place of birth, or a FACEIT branded Fiat 500 (yes, a real car!).

These FACEIT Points Tournaments are free to join up to four times per month. The flagship tournaments such as the Sunday Cups and Pick Up Games are still open for everyone and do not count towards the four monthly tournaments.

If you want to play more, you can upgrade your account to Unlimited or Premium. Unlimited will give you access to as many FACEIT Points Tournaments as you wish, while you can play in one Premium Tournament per month. Besides this, you will receive a badge on your profile, stating you as a "Supporter" of FACEIT. This all for as low as £2.99 per month.

Premium users will have all services available to them for as low as £5.99 per month. While they get all that Free and Unlimited users receive, they will be able to play in an unlimited amount of Premium Tournaments. Next to this they will receive a 1.5x FACEIT Points boost, access to Premium Prizes and a badge stating you as "Premium Supporter".

Should this model prove a success, we can further expand our support for Quake Live and become bigger and better for everyone!

Here are the FACEIT Daily Cups for 6 to 9 May. All the cups will kick off at 13:30 CDT, with check-ins opening at 12:30 CDT, except for the CA cups, which will start one hour earlier, 12:30 CDT (check-in opens at 11:30 CDT).

Monday will feature the Level 4 and Level 8 duel cups, while on Wednesday the other two levels, 6 and 10, will be able to face each other off.

This week we will be featuring two Team Deathmatch cups instead of CA. On Tuesday the TDM 2v2 Cup will take place, while on Thursday teams of four can get their fix. This does not mean we will stop hosting CA cups, but we will be alternating every week between TDM and CA.

You can create a team in the right top corner (2/4 - depending which cup - players per team max.). If you are already in a team, you will have to quit it. Be sure all players check-in.
