The 25th FACEIT Quake Live Sunday Cup is coming up. We have a new tournament leader as Belgium dem0n has eventually accumulated enough points to overtake Russia Evil in the Winter Season Ranking, and with just 2 weeks remaining before the season closes, you all better get some points too!

We are back with the stream this week on FACEIT TV with United Kingdom Daniel "ddk" Kapadia and United Kingdom Xavier "Zoot" Dhorne who will be going live at 09:30 CDT.

In 2007 the Netgamez e-sports organization was declared bankrupt and the Dutch lan event Netgamez ceased to exist.

However a few days ago Netgamez announced their comeback under the name "Project Netgamez : The Resurrection". They want host an event on the weekend of 16 to 18 Aug 2013. However the people behind Netgamez lack the funds to do so, there for they started up a crowd funding program for 10 euro’s as a fan. 60 euros for entrance, 100 euro for a VIP Treatment and 300 euro for a team of 5 lanners.

Nothing is known about which tournaments will be hosted, but Netgamez was always known of supporting the most popular eSports titles. Netgamez was known in the early 00’s as the eSports lanparty of the Netherlands. In 2001 Netgamez was the host of CPL Holland and later on they held qualifiers for CPL Summer, ESL, ESWC and WCG.

Czech Republic Karby, from Quake.cz, recently interviewed the russian godfather of Quake, Russia 102.cooke.

"When I created 102 the main aim was to bring Russian quakers to LANs, show the world what Russians can do. Russia Evil already won Dreamhack, so I guess everybody see what we can do."

FACEIT Daily Cups 18-21 March (75 comments)

Here are the FACEIT Daily Cups for 18 to 21 March. All the cups will kick off at 14:30 CDT, with check-ins opening at 13:30 CDT.

Monday will feature the Level 4 and Level 8 duel cups, while on Wednesday the other two levels, 6 and 10, will be able to face each other off.

As like last week we will also be hosting two Clan Arena cups. On Tuesday the CA 2v2 Test Cup will take place, while on Thursday teams of four can get their fix. You can create a team in the right top corner, be sure to only add one extra person to the team (2/4 - depending which cup - players per team max.). If you are already in a team, you will have to quit it. Be sure all players check-in.

Update: This Friday will also feature our first TDM Cup, which will be in the 2v2 format.


Don't forget you can play on the FACEIT QL Ladder every evening from 13:00 CDT till 19:00 CDT!

With group stage over we are starting with the playoffs of NC XVI TDM. There were few dropouts from teams like Belgium Belgium, Ukraine Ukraine and Netherlands Netherlands, which were more or less expected, since they couldn't field 4 players most of the time. Check groups and playoffs pages for further info.

Captains need to schedule first round of playoff matches by 14:00 CDT, 18 March 2013 (Monday), otherwise they 're gonna get forced.

Besides prizes(tokens) for 1st and 2nd place winners of the cup, we will have One Month Pro and One Month Premium tokens for 1st and 2nd place of CBooky winners as well. So make sure to place your bets on time!

Well the second event is upon us for the PQL Duel Series and Hektik is the chosen map. The Event is Tuesday at, 19:00 CDT, 19 March 2013. This is a points based system with the top eight players playing in a final match event which will show case the five maps.
