Finding the best CSGO gambling sites in 2019 is not that easy. CSGO gambling has had a chequered past to say the least, with many sites being shut down and penalised because of illegal activity.

There is clearly a demand among some Counter-Strike lovers to bet on their favourite game but for the sector to be sustainable long-term, CSGO gambling sites must comply with the laws - primarily for the safety and security of esports fans but also for the sake of themselves.

DHW: Quake Live Groups! (141 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 16:34 CST, 15 November 2012 - iMsg
After the show tonight with The GD Studio hosted by United Kingdom 2GD and Belgium Trance we now have the groups for the DreamHack Kingston HyperX Quake Live Tournament.

Unfortunately Poland STING dropped out last minute and we haven't been able to replace him yet. If you want to play contact either blazeh or slayzah in mIRC #DreamHack.Quake or send a mail to esport@dreamhack.se.

Also since STING dropped out we remade the seeds slightly. Sweden empish was moved to mid seed and the player missing is down in low seed.

So, as usual, please leave your thoughts on the groups below! Is there a group of death? Is any group more interesting then another?

Update: Last spot has been filled by Sweden Snapphanen.
Update 2: Poland matr0x unfortunately dropped out of the tournament. He will be replaced by Sweden DRz.bat4dead.

Scheduled: 11:00 CST, 25 November 2012 to 16:00 CST, 25 November 2012
Schedule: Passed

As we already promised, we are announcing #tdmpickup draft tournament series. This kind of tournament is open to all the players, where you just signup before the tournament start and the teams are created automatically based on players' QLStats rating, so the teams should be equal.

First tournament of the series will take place on Sunday 25th of November. Signups will be open from 11:00 CDT to 12:00 CDT and done via IRC. After the signups, we will announce the teams and playoff tree. The tournament format will be Single Elimination bracket played as BO3. We will also provide Mumble and Teamspeak servers for everyone to use. The only requirement for everyone to add is that you have to have at least 10 matches played on #tdmpickup according QLStats website. If you didn't play 10 matches yet, you still have about 10 days to rank yourself. Just join #tdmpickup, !a and wait for your game to start.

But wait, there's more! During the last 7 days before the tournament, everyone playing at #tdmpickup will be competing for another prize. The person dominating in number of played games during past 7 days will receive 3-month pro membership redeemable token for QuakeLive! You can check current stats in here (please bear in mind that QLStats website is a bit slow). We will check the results exactly on 12:00 CDT and we'll count out quits and forfeits.

The event will be streamed by the best TDM streaming organization ever, which of course is lvl^. Have fun!

DHW: Player replacements and seeds (157 comments)
Posted by blaze @ 06:06 CST, 15 November 2012 - iMsg
Unfortunately we've had a few unexpected drop outs during the last week. Portugal ins, United States of America cl0ck and Germany reload have dropped out of the tournament, all with different reasons. Making the best out of the situation we quickly contacted a number of players who we hoped could play instead.

With only a week left until DreamHack Winter 2012 there wasn't much time for the players to arrange a trip but Tunisia L33gend (aka sofiene), Germany mousestar and Sweden empish all agreed to come and play. L33gend making his Quake Live LAN debut while mousestar and empish comes back to DreamHack to play again.

But since the line up is complete again it's time to get the seeds public!

Don't forget to follow The GD Studio tonight for the live group drawing. The show goes live at 19:00 CET with a warmup cup and finishing of with the group draw.

*UPDATE*: Italy unnamedtony can't make it due to sickness and needs to catch up on work as soon as he gets better. If you want to play please send a message to blazeh or slayzah at mIRC #DreamHack.Quake or send a mail to esport@dreamhack.se.
*UPDATE 2*: The last spot has been filled by Russia cooke.
*UPDATE 3*: Germany mousestar is not arriving until friday, one day after the groupstage so he'll be replaced by Ukraine nicerdicer.

Targetquake Duel - Toxicity (34 comments)

Scheduled: 18:00 CST, 17 November 2012 to 21:00 CST, 17 November 2012
Schedule: Passed

Time to get the ball rolling on this side of the pond since there seems to be a ton of action in Europe right now I don't think we need to be doing anything over there. Whats up here in N.A. you say? Gonna get all up in your face with some Toxicity. With three small rooms connected by a hallway that if you get stuck in it expect to get punished, this small Intermediate level of a map is very hard to gain control in once you have lost it!! So if you think you got what it takes to tip toe around the acid while burning your opponent feel free to sign on up.

This event starts at 19:00 CDT, with check-in beginning at 18:00 CDT. We will not be increasing the brackets anymore. The wait-listed players will be able to check in 15 min prior to closing.

I would prefer to see all matches played on private servers with passwords in order to not have any disruptions! Hope to see you all sign up!

Quake Live Daily Cups (132 comments)
Posted by Memento_Mori @ 13:26 CST, 11 November 2012 - iMsg
In the past few months, a number of individuals in the community has discussed, planned, and tested what we all hope will bring additional energy to our beloved duel scene in Europe.

FACEIT and France Kevin "strenx" Baeza are proud to officially launch a brand new series of daily cups:

Starting this month, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will feature two cups running concurrently each day. Each cup will be capped by Faceit-Rank, meaning you can join the cup only if your skill is lower or equal to the value (you can always join higher ranked cups). The prize pool will be 10$ per cup, distributed among the first places, for a total of 400$ sponsored by strenx’ project donations.

The goal of these cups is to give duelers a chance to step up their daily practice, facing opponents of adequate skill and similar mindset. Depending of your skill, you may able to join easier and harder cups to test how the tricks you learn work with other both kind of players.

Update: given various requests, we increased from level 9 to level 10, to let top player participate.

Grrrr... interviewed (41 comments)
Posted by Thorin @ 14:20 CST, 9 November 2012 - iMsg
I've published an interview with Canada Guillaume "Grrrr..." Patry, the only non-Korean to ever win an OSL in BW.

Some of the topics we discussed:
-The BW scene before Grrrr...'s move to Korea.
-His transition to life in South Korea.
-The excessive partying and drinking which inhibited his professional career and results.
-The rise of players like Korea (Republic of) YellOw, Korea (Republic of) Kingdom, Korea (Republic of) BoxeR and Korea (Republic of) NaDa.
-Thoughts on Korean culture and BW/esports' peak over there.
-Thoughts on MOBA and SC2.

On whether he was the best foreigner before going to Korea:
I can't say that I was the best foreigner, but back then some of the best players in practice did poorly in tournaments. It was the opposite for me, I played better under pressure. In 1999, the best players were not Korean. Around mid-2000, that's when Koreans started dominating Starcraft.

The interview can be read at Team Acer.
