Spid.si is a new eSports LAN and online tournaments organization in Slovenia Slovenia. They organize online tournaments and LANs for fifa Fifa12, StarCraft Starcraft 2, cod2_ COD 2, CoD4 COD 4 and now they included ql Quake Live, but it's for Slovenian community only. Hopefully in the near future they will also make big on-line tournaments and big LANs for foreigns with nice prizes.

Sponsors and everyone who would like to help them will be more than appreciated. Hopefully with your help we will see them growing strong with a lot of ql Quake Live online and LAN tournaments!

Let the massive offensive attack continue!! This weeks map will be Hektik, a small but very powerful map with multiple levels that are all easily accessible with the portals. There is also a few smaller rooms which are great pinch points or bait areas for your opponent!!!

This event starts at 20:00 CDT with check-in starting at 19:00 CDT. We will not be increasing the brackets anymore due to players being in school and/or working in the AM. The wait listed players will be able to check in 15min prior to closing.

I would prefer to see all matches played on private servers with passwords in order to not have any disruptions!

After almost five years break SWS Quake Cup Championship series, organized by Ukraine ShadoWS Clan, Kiev is back. A new Quake2 year is finally approaching; the 2012/2013 season! We celebrate this by launching the sign ups phase for the European Duel League #11!

The EDL is a Deathmatch 1on1 competition - the biggest Q2 event left on the planet - open for players from all corners of the world. Non-Europeans normally play their games on home/away servers, i.e. an American may play one map in the US and one in Europe, but despite having to endure a little higher ping once in a while, it works out splendidly!

The league features several divisions, meaning there's a place for players of all skill levels. Even the most sporadic, rusty and unsolemn quakers are guaranteed fun! So no excuse not to join in! Any questions? Don't hesitate to ask! There's always helpful people on IRC!


Sign ups deadline: Wednesday, September 26th, 24.00 CET.

Czech Republic neverGreen from mIRC #cpmduel channel is hosting another cpma challenge promode #cpmduel NEWBIES cup. This cup is intended for people inexperienced with cpm, people who are curious to try it and people who are in cpm for a short period of time. This cup is not intended for Warsow or Quake3/QL/QW veterans who are new to CPM! It's aimed towards european players so matches will be played on euro servers. Registration will be opened 30 minutes in advance of the tournament (11 September, 18:00 CET). If you want to play make sure you're on IRC in #cpmduel channel on QuakeNet.


UPDATE: after great evening/night of cpm 1v1 action we came to the superfinal where Col1n won over ins (Trivium) and took the first place. Final results are: cup_gold Col1n, cup_silver Trivium, cup_bronze Enchie. Thank you all who took a part in this a see you next month on another one.

SCV Rush has interviewed Belgium Trance, best known for being the "tech guy" behind The GD Studio, Twitch.TV Europe, and Level Up TV.
Some time ago, I wrote up a recap article about the ASUS ROG Tournament, in which I raved about the production value put together by the GD Studio, James "2GD" Harding's esports independent studio project. I was able to talk with James' right-hand man and production guru, Cristian "Trance" Tamas, and ask him some questions regarding the ASUS tournament, his role in the studio, and some other random things!

Season 4 of HoQ CTF 4v4 is about to start, and this season we're going to do something radical. Something insane. Something Jolt did years ago.

Maps are now going to be fixed for each round, and will be drawn from a wider pool than the usual 5 maps. This allows us to introduce new maps properly, giving them a real chance to get established in the competitive scene, PCWs and pickups included.

The next line of CPM duel cups has just been conceived by Mexico Memphis and Poland ShadyAK! We'd like to invite all interested parties to our new line of tournaments, the CPM FIGHTCLUB series, starting with our duel opener scheduled on the Sunday 9th September 2012. Coverage will be provided by NoProblemTV (basically the rebranded PNS-TV) with exactly the same plan as the last one, with guest appearances by stars of CPM, post-match analysis by the big boys of CPM, and interviews with key players as the tournament progresses! With entik recently announcing a demo roll call for The Contenders 3, this could be a perfect time to create some egd demos and send them in! Sign up now!

Duel is the most played competitive gamemode in Xonotic and it needs new maps! With the kind support of MaverickServers, eSports Republic, Sapphire and the Xonotic community, Germany Asyyy and Serbia ZeroQL are hosting a duel mapping contest.

The contest will start on 1st September and run for 12 weeks until 1st December. Judging will occur for 1 week after.

Today we, the Q2 scene, present to you a new and latest released frag movie. This is definitely one of the best and perhaps THE best Quake 2 Frag-movie that you will ever see. This movie was supposed to be released in 2005 (Trailer) and now after more than six years, here it is.
The movie is about the Poland Armia Krajowa clan which is one of the best polish clans back in the days and maybe one of the best clans around in that time,here is a note from them about this release :

"We would be very pleased if you let know all your inactive q2 buddies about this release. The movie was supposed to be finished and published in sprint of 2005. Now, after more than six years, we guess we owe them a few frags. Armia Krajowa."


The movie is a little long but it is not boring at all. The sound track is really nice which suits the movie pretty well. The frags are awesome with insane air-rockets and amazing rail-shots and let's not forget the old-school grenade frags which are always a pleasure to see. This is not The Final Act, this is definitely The Final Art.
