Hey guys,
I am please to anncounce once again, The HouseofQuake will be starting leagues this season featuring both CTF and TDM 4v4
New Rules have been created and simplified for this season, please take your time to read them carefully, Match schedule can also be found within the rules, with important information for both players and team captains.
Anyone needing help or more information for the leagues should contact Me (williebobc) or drayan, alternativly you can ask anyone in #HoQLeagues (IRC Quakenet) with @, should you not find us.

Please... no time wasters, HouseofQuake want to give those who really want to play and enjoy QuakeLive, the best possible experience within a league, at a competative level.

EDIT: TDM Signups end.. 13th/Feb/2012 and the CTF Ssignups end...16th /Feb/2012 3 days prior to the leagues 1st games. Map list is not 100% atm CTF is afaik (ask Drayan) TDM im still thinking about.

Timothee Besset was heavily involved in Quake Live but has left to join a startup gaming company. (his blog entry)

I resigned from id earlier this week. Folks who know me well were not terribly surprised, but I suppose I need to put that out there officially. I joined a small startup in Dallas, gaming related, but not fps or esports. Great people, great tech, and we're going to have a blast.

Now with an opening on the QL team, time to move over the id employee who is working on anti-cheat so he can work on it full time.

Timothee Besset (also known as TTimo) is a software programmer most well known for creating and supporting Linux, as well as some Macintosh, ports of id Software's products. He has been involved with the game ports of various id properties over the past ten years, starting with Quake III Arena. Since the development of Doom 3 he has also been in charge of the multiplayer network code and various aspects of game coding for id, a role which had him heavily involved in the development of their online game QuakeLive. For the first time in a long time South Africa will have an online Quake Live Duel tournament. The tournament will be hosted by XTC Gaming, one of South Africa's largest E-Sports clan's.

Players like the legendary Ph4ntom and Shase will be competing so it is sure to be a fantastic display of South African Quake talent. Unfortunately Szarko, South Africa's number 1 according to www.qlranks.com, is not playing for unknown reasons.

QuakeWorld is an oldschool fast paced FPS! We are currently accepting signups for Season 2 of our 4on4 North American DRAFT LEAGUE. If you want to see what you’re in for, check out some demos on youtube, there are plenty.

STA Season 2 signups are now open for the league. The first season FINALS are happening Monday Night (1/23/2011). The first season was a lot of fun with countless close games and new faces. With the first season being such a success and the community buzzing about how they haven’t seen so much action in the NA Quakeworld community is years, we figured why stop! Season 2 is on it’s way!

The QuakeWorld Community would like to invite anyone from any game that is into TDM to try out QuakeWorld and be part of our DRAFT League. I am aware of the current state of most games concerning TDM and it is next to non-existent (Qlive, NetQuake, CPMA, etc.). Many of our new players have come from games like Qlive and CPMA. So this message is to anyone at all that misses TDM matches, teamplay, and is into learning a new game or coming back to an old one.

The League will be 4-6 weeks including playoffs. Teams are selected by captains who are some of the best players in the scene and willing to take on the responsibility of training a newer team. Teams also use a voice chat client called Mumble for communicating with their team during matches. The league is in a form of Round Robin (each team plays each other once in the group stages) and then playoffs are the top teams of the league battling towards the championships. Most games are broadcasted on justin.tv or twitch.tv and have alot of spectators. The map pool will be from TB3 (DM3,DM2,E1M2). Recently I have been working on a movie project, however, I had too many frags on hub. So I have decided to throw together a quick movie with some of those frags. The movie features mostly railfrags and one rocket-to-rail combo (by n0ns, not me obviously).
