This Saturday the ESL Quake Live Bundesliga will bring it to an glory end with the LAN finals held in Krefeld, Germany. ESC k1llsen, ESC reload, amity dKsL and amity twister to battle for the glory and fight to become the crowned champion: Who will win the first season of the biggest Quake Live league held at the moment?

The details for the national qualifiers of the

ESL Major Series Season IX are slowly getting announced. Below you can find a list with links to the news for each country/region. Not all of them are available at the moment and the list will be updated as soon as new qualifiers are announced.

The French and Swedish qualifiers will be run on the European Quakelive section. These will use the same format and date as the European Qualifier: Double Brackets (WB bo3 / LB bo1) on Wednesday 7th of September at 13:00 CDT.

The group stage of the TDM Country Championship 2011 is coming to its last 3 matches, with 2 of them tonight! And next week, the playoff will start on Monday and should finish on Sunday if everything goes as planned. So far: In Group C

Russia topped the pool while

Austria took the 2nd place;

Poland, one of the favorites, failed in Group D leaving

United Kingdom with the 1st rank just followed by

Hungary. The Group A's rankings will be settled tonight and Group B should be over on Sunday.

Research about video games has mainly studied its negative aspects (as dependance or negative behaviors, as violence for instance) but little is known about the other aspects. As I'm personnally a gamer, I thought it would be interesting to investigate the motivations of the gamers who participate in online cups (as ClanBase, ESL, JeeSports, ZOTAC...). It would allow us to have a more exhaustive knowledge about what online gaming can really be for a player.

Thus, we would like you to fill in this short questionnaire as truthfully as possible. This should take around 5 minutes. The info will not go public.

Silent Gamers is launching a new tournament called SG weekly duel tourney for 32 men with single elimination bracket. The tournament starts on September 19th at 9am all day on Monday for the round 1. Round 2 will be on Tuesday and so on. The sign-up is opened to sign up up to 32 men. There will not be any prizes at this moment. We will be playing the non premium maps

The Cyber Sports Network goes global. We are pleased to announce our first European only QuakeLive event. The "Across The Pond" Cup will be the first of many European QuakeLive events. The Cyber Sports Network will support Duel, TDM, CTF and Clan Arena for the European QuakeLive community.

Once the "Across The Pond" Event has ended and players have had a chance to get familiar with the CSN website, our play QUAKELIVE Cup Series will begin. This series of Cups will give players an opportunity to compete in weekly single elimination brackets to earn points and qualify for the Monthly cup finals. The playQUAKELIVE Finals will consist of the top 8 or 16 point earners and will also be a single elimination bracket. The Finals will offer a larger prize pool and be streamed/casted for viewers.

The Cyber Sports Network look forward to supporting the European community and appreciate any input, comments or suggestions that will help us make the tournament experience a smooth and enjoyable one.

Look for details about our upcoming European TDM event. Also note that the times are in EST. The site does not yet support CET , It is being worked on.
