After much deliberation about the future of Quake Live the support was still fairly strong within the Australian and New Zealand borders. 4Seasons Gaming decided to hold sign-ups for another one of our infamous season duel competitions in which we received more than 130 sign-ups across the four divisions Pro, Amateur, Rising Star and Beginner.

This competition includes for division 1 winner a free return flights to our first official Oceanic Quake Live LAN competition to be held at Reloaded in Adelaide (15th and 17th of July). The LAN competition is still yet to be officially announced but has already $3,500 in cash confirmed as well as $600+ worth in products thanks to Game Traders and Tt eSPORTS.

I would personally like to thank all of the players who have stuck by me through-out the course of my reign on the Australian scene and send many thanks to the international spectators that have enjoyed our work. And yes, we will hopefully be sending a couple of players to QuakeCon 2011.

With currently about one month left until DreamHack Summer 2011 the last round of duel players have been invited to the tournament. With the two players coming from the online qualifier hosted by ZOTAC the duel list of players is now finished.

The TDM tournament is still lacking confirmation of most teams. We'd like all the teams who's going to DreamHack to send a message to either of the admins over at

DreamHack.Quake. Sending a message to me (blaze) on ESR works just as fine! We need to know your team name and team line up for seeding purposes.

With the recent addition of fresh blood in its admin squad, the ESL Quakelive European section is organizing a Duel Fever competition in the coming 3 weeks. The tournament will consist of 4 qualifying cups, played as bo1 with fixed maps on double elimination, and a final bracket for the top4 of each qualifier.

ESL Premium months and awards will reward the winners of the Final Bracket.

Following our Call of Duty and Counter-Strike "Play with the Pros" events, FnaticMSI will be hosting a QuakeLive "Play with the Pros" on Wednesday, May 11th at 13:00 CDT.

You'll have the opportunity to play along side

Kévin "strenx" Baéza and

Sebastian "Spart1e" Siira in a 30 minute Free-For-All.

In order to participate you need to check the official post on Fnatic website on Wednesday at 13:00 CDT, as we will post the server IP and the password there. The GameType Revolution mod team is proud to announce the release of the first version of GTR compatible with the Quake 4 1.4.2 patch. The .70 build will bring lots of new features, maps and will give the player an incredible amount of customization of the game. Some of the more important changes are:

This release of .70 was a goal we set several years back and though we are extremely happy with the current state of the mod, development will continue and we will keep improving upon the very solid base we have.
