The Quake Live! Masters of the ASUS Spring 2011 will take place in

Kiev at the CyberSports Arena from the 28th to the 29th of May 2011. A total of 16 players (or more?) should attend the event. 4 of them were given a direct invitation and the rest will have to qualify through 4 online tournaments (SE bo1 - semis & final bo3). Each qualifier will offer a slot and a ticket to its winner.

One of the most popular leagues (NQR) ever considering QuakeWorld TDM has spawned once again in the form of a ladder! This time it also includes 1on1 and 2on2! It has already been running a couple of days and there have been some games played aswell. The ladder will most probably be the biggest event on the QuakeWorld scene running during the summer so check it out!

Basic information about the season: 1on1, 2on2, 4on4

The season has already started and the admins gave some information about the end aswell:
"The seasons will run until the end of August, and will be followed by a short play-off competition (activity permitting). The ladders will also re-set in September and run again over the winter." quote by admins of NQR.

The 79th ZOTAC QL Duel Cup is taking place Sunday 17th of April. Last week,

strenx finally reached his 25th victory and remains the undoubted leader on the Hall of Fame.

Note that ZOTAC just released a new website. The brackets won't be displayed as a grid anymore, ~~the hall of fame was fixed~~, the links for stream appear on front page as well as a countdown. Also, all the archives from previous cups aren't available anymore, including brackets.

Nothing has been announced yet regarding a new maplist though.
