The cup format will once again consist of SE brackets using bo1 matches until the quarter finals. Then the games will be played as bo3 with the grand final being played bo5. The prize is 100€ for the first place.

The 2nd Competo-Sports Quakelive duel cup will be played this sunday. Competo Cup is held every second sunday. Winner of the last cup was

guard.

The cup will consist of SE brackets using the Bo1 format until the semifinal. From the seminfinal on the tournament will be played in Bo3.
Up to 64 players can attend this cup which will start at 10:00 CDT. Signups will be closed right before the tournament begins. Please contact an admin at quakenet for support.

In case you missed the original post this weekend Australia will be holding their first ever Quake Live WAN in order to crown a winner of the Acer and Cybergamer Australian Quakelive Duel Championships.

It has been an extremely long break for

Andrew "python" Chacha now known to the Oceanic scene just as ChaCha. From dominating the Australian Scene for years in Quake3, to competing internationally against a lot of the Q3 greats, python has established his overall duel game to that of near unbeatable by any former Australian player. Now with the game itself progressing into a slightly modified version, Quakelive, it will be a massive test to all our players who have been training and practicing so incredibly hard for this moment to take the title from him.

Thanks to QL.TV, Holysh1t.net and ofcourse our 4SG Streamers this game will be easy to watch for the Americans, Europeans and Oceanic region.

Shane "rapha" Hendrixson has been interviewed by SK Gaming. The man who has had the QuakeLive world in a vice for the last couple of years talked about the need to prove himself the best again.

Asked if he ever thought he'd be able to call himself the best Quake player in the world rapha explained:

My goal was to play up there with the best and beat them. It just grew stronger over time so at some point yes I believed that I would attain that title. It's nice and all but I try to remind myself that that's in the past and that I have to try and keep it, prove it all over again from one major event to the next. The top players are all striving for it, especially with ESWC coming up, there are definitely more than a few who are hungry to win it, which is why I think it will make the tournament all that much more exciting to me.

The EPS Benelux Season 4 finalists are known! With

dem0n not attending the LAN finals, the 5th ranked player,

supreme, will get this spot. There are some minor changes concerning prizes, there will no be €550 hardware prizes: Instead we will have €550 prize money. The finals will be held 26-27th June at WZZRD Enschede gaming center.

Tonight the ESWC committee finally announced the

ESWC 2010 Finals invitations for the countries without qualifiers. For Quakelive, 6 players were selected instead of initially 3, which is already a good news. And the total numbers of players in the Quakelive tournament is now 20 with a 2nd slot for Russia. If you feel like the last fatal1ty frag movie contest let you down, there might be another chance for you to win something out of a frag movie. The news is not exactly fresh, but nobody cared enough to post it on ESR already. Here is the thing: ESWC and Allo ciné (French website) are organizing a "Frag movie Festival". In clear terms that's a frag movie making contest, and that one is to be rewarded with $5,000 for the winner.

"You can submit your link by June 10th at contact@eswc.com. Then the ESWC organizing committee and Allo cine will choose the 10 best Frag Movies.
Everybody can vote for the best frag movie from June 11th to June 30th through the eswc.com or allocine.com, the winner will be known on July 4th at the World Game Show and will get back home with the $ 5,000 reward."

Eddie "_panther" Panther has been awarded an invite due to his dedication and sacrifice to be one of the higher seed tournament contenders. Every Quaker in the

Oceanic region has been in a dueling frenzy of recent and it's great to see the community support and determination to mirror that of what we see in the European scene.

We also would like to announce that this Sundays CyberGamer QuakeLive Duel Championships will be announcing their groups very soon. This event will be covered by our Australian streaming, if you have interest in streaming the tournament for your continent please feel free to pm myself. We have now reached the playoffs in the Bring it Back Safely CTF league. The playoffs are going to be a 1-day event that takes place on Sunday 30/5 for both the EU and NA leagues. Two clans from each group advance to the EU playoffs. New for this season is that we'll split these six divisions into a high tier and a low tier playoff. The high tier will contain divisions 1-3 and the low tier divisions 4-6. Regular playoffs brackets will be applied.

Lovesow is once again hosting a Warsow cup. This time it is the Bomb it with Love! Warsow Bomb & Defuse cup. Our goal is to keep some cup activity and competition in the small, but awesome Warsow community! The cup will run on Sunday the 30th of May starting at 16:00 CET. We will begin with a groupstage first, followed by a single elimination bracket.
