Finding the best CSGO gambling sites in 2019 is not that easy. CSGO gambling has had a chequered past to say the least, with many sites being shut down and penalised because of illegal activity.

There is clearly a demand among some Counter-Strike lovers to bet on their favourite game but for the sector to be sustainable long-term, CSGO gambling sites must comply with the laws - primarily for the safety and security of esports fans but also for the sake of themselves.

fnatic interview DKT (116 comments)
Posted by grimbob @ 10:24 CST, 26 February 2010 - iMsg
The team over at fnatic.com have released an interview with United States of America Brian "dkt" Flander, with a variety of topics including his upcoming tournament in Germany for the IEM Championships, and joining up with Complexity.
What is your goal for this event?
dkt: My goal is to win, always. I've said this before. Is it realistic? I don't see why not. At Qcon 08 I lost to ZeRo4/griffin (2nd/3rd), who was in the finals. At QCon 09 I lost to spart1e twice in 3 maps both sets, who went 3-2 with rapha in the finals. Then I lost to Z4muZ at DreamHack, who was also in the finals there. If you take away my horrible display at Edmonton, I've only lost to people who have been to the finals at all of my Quakelive events. So, if you beat me, chances are you're in the finals =p!

So head on over to the fnatic website to read more!

<3 ASUS Cups (88 comments)

As I was quickly writing the news about the ASUS Winter 2010, I thought their first Quakelive tournament would also mean the end of the Quake 3 era in the ASUS Cups. And I just couldn't imagine how much these LANs helped to keep the Quake community alive in the Eastern countries. So I just went through ALL the ASUS Cups I could find and summarized ALL their Quake rankings.

The results is impressive and it looks like they will never stop: 25 LANs featured Quake in the past 7 years for a total of 39 tournaments. I was willing to calculate the total cash prize given, but that's just too much for me at the moment. If you want to try: Be my guest!

European Instagib CTF Community (11 comments)
Posted by pzOr @ 12:00 CST, 24 February 2010 - iMsg
Yes, you heard me, Instagib. Seeing as all servers in Quake Live have to be spawned by ID, other mods have to wait their turn. Besides all weapons, the only *kinda* supported mod is obviously, Instagib CTF.

It's a fun mod, which can be competitive, it's been around for years, and there's no point in having discussions about it here, if you don't like it, just ignore this.

But for those who kept reading this, and are interested enough, it's good news when I say the community has been growing, as a result a first try at a Tournament will be going underway soon.

We will start with a 16 Team tournament, hoping to bring out more people who enjoy Instagib ( we know you are out there ) and also trying to show ID that perhaps if they supported other mods, they would get back a lot of activity in return.

Clanbase and FraggedNation have both showed their interest in hosting InstaGib Tournaments in Quake Live, which they can't due to the servers current situation. Thanks you for reading.

#cpmpickup wants your moneys (104 comments)
Posted by spyteman @ 11:28 CST, 23 February 2010 - iMsg
Update: We were able to pay the rent for the servers, thanks to everybody who donated. Any surplus or futher donations will be used for paying rent in the future.

Year after year, it's again time to pay the rent for the #cpmpickup servers, and as usual we are lacking money. The rent for a full year is 310€ but so far we got merely about a 100€ covered. If we do not collect enough money to pay the rent by the end of the week, all pickup servers including GTV and mumble will go down and it will be very tough (or rather close to impossible) to find a similar offer for the same money in the future.

So please, dear CPMA community, make up your mind whether all the hours of pickup fun, talking crap on IRC and keeping the European (read: whole) CPMA community alive is worth a few bucks of your money or not. It's fairly cheap compared to other activities like movies or pub crawling, but unfortunately it's not completely for free either. The more people contribute, the cheaper it is!

You can donate using e.g. Paypal or your credit card. Thanks to everybody who's contributing!

QuakeAmerica.com v2 and Duel Cup #4 (26 comments)

The Quake America team is proud to announce the launch of their new website QuakeAmerica.com. New features besides running the tournaments include access to community videos, streams, and forums. Keep in mind it is still a work in progress, but is now in a presentable state. The Quake America team would like to encourage everyone to participate in all features of the website beyond the Duel Cup Series, such as the forums.

Also, we have officially opened sign-ups for Duel Cup #4 set to begin at 18:00 CST, 27 February 2010. Note that as we are using a new bracket builder software, some rule changes are currently pending. Especially those regarding the check-in phase, elimination system and seeding style. Final decisions on those rules will be posted later.

The Quake America team would like to thank the Quake community for all the support we've been given over the past few weeks, and hope you will enjoy our return to running the Quake America Duel Cup Series.

Update: Three games to be played tonight as seen in schedule down here. If Belgium Belgium don`t show up tonight in their game vs Poland Poland, it will be their second no-show and kick from the TDM cup ... Serbia Serbia fights United Kingdom UK and interesting to see if they could beat them in CTF as they did in TDM yesterday. And we also got Hungary Hungary vs Switzerland Switzerland in TDM match.

Important: If any game need to be rescheduled or moved to another date, admins must be contacted (PerpetualWar for CTF /TDM and Astral for CTF). Otherwise, double no-show might be applied. Rules can be found down below.

We are at middle of the group stage with 3rd week ahead of us.
Unfortunately a lot of games has been rescheduled already and many wildcards have been used and some teams even had their first forfeits. Look for the schedule and results down here.
