Finding the best CSGO gambling sites in 2019 is not that easy. CSGO gambling has had a chequered past to say the least, with many sites being shut down and penalised because of illegal activity.

There is clearly a demand among some Counter-Strike lovers to bet on their favourite game but for the sector to be sustainable long-term, CSGO gambling sites must comply with the laws - primarily for the safety and security of esports fans but also for the sake of themselves.

CPL Founder Angel Munoz Interviewed (37 comments)
Posted by detonatR @ 17:58 CDT, 28 October 2009 - iMsg
In his first written interview in over two years, CPL Founder Angel Munoz sits down to discuss his past, present, and future in the gaming world.

Angel Munoz is a man that needs little introduction. He founded one of the biggest eSport event circuits (CPL), which lasted for a little over a decade before shutting down and bought by outside investors in 2008. For his work in eSports, Angel Munoz has often been considered the "father of eSports", but he is not without his controversy.

As everyone knows, you sold the CPL to an investment group from the United Arab Emirates in 2008, are you still involved with CPL operations or perhaps consulting? Is it still the same people running the CPL but under new ownership or has that changed?

Angel Munoz: The original plan was for me to be on the Board of Directors and for my company (NewWorld.com) to retain a 10% interest in the new CPL, but that did not work out. So now that CPL has moved its main operations to Asia, I will no longer retain my board chair or have any interest in the CPL. The new CPL has excellent management, advisors and partners, and honestly no longer need me to agree or disagree with their plans.

The full interview can be found on mylgn.com.

EMS TDM Qualifier Cup #4 VODs (31 comments)
Posted by Badb0y @ 11:00 CDT, 26 October 2009 - iMsg
Shoutcasting team Level up, United Kingdom nVc and United Kingdom Disrepute, did some live castings of the EMS Season 5-Qualifier Cups.

Because there is no GTV available and pretty much no coverage of TDM yet, they streamed games from the qualifier cup #3, and #4 on last sunday. Sometimes TDM players joining them so the comments they make should be a bit more in depth. Level Up try to have in the future more "pro" players on the castings, like they had with United Kingdom deus yesterday.

Top 4 teams of each of the 4 qualifier cups went directly to the ESL Major Series. This 4th EMS TDM Qualifier Cup it was LowLandLions, fnatic, refuse2lose and East Front. It was very late the last matches were played, fnatic won.

EMS TDM Qualifier #4 VoDs
refuse2lose vs steam, refuse2lose vs northstar, East Front vs refuse2lose, fnatic vs refuse2lose
nvcgamer.eu/lvlup - press play, then at the bottom of that it says "on demand" > Quake > ESL > Extreme Masters

Teams in the ESL Major Series finals
So now we have the 16 teams that are going to the ESL Major Series finals! Isn´t it great?!

IEF Suwon 2009 - players list (23 comments)
Posted by PuertoRican @ 05:08 CDT, 26 October 2009 - iMsg
With less than 5 days to go, the Korea (Republic of) IEF Suwon 2009 event is turning out to be the greatest event for foreign SC Starcraft players that has ever been seen before, with 9 different countries taking part for just the Starcraft portion alone.

Some past greats make their triumphant return during IEF Suwon 2009, most notably United States of AmericaSC_Terran Assem (former pro gamer in Korea on the former Hexatron, now eSTRO, team), United States of AmericaSC_Protoss Rekrul (also a former pro gamer on Hexatron, United KingdomSC_Zerg Midian (United Kingdom’s best player of all time), as well as TaiwanSC_Protoss SEn (Starcraft prodigy from Taiwan, which is a country that was never known for its large pool of players).

Some more recognizable faces to the 2009 competitive scene are United States of AmericaSC_Terran IdrA, NetherlandsSC_Zerg Ret, UkraineSC_Protoss White_Ra, UkraineSC_Terran Strelok, PeruSC_Protoss Fenix, United States of AmericaSC_Zerg iNcontroL, United States of AmericaSC_Terran Artosis, United States of AmericaSC_Protoss G5, GermanySC_Terran iNfeRnaL, CanadaSC_Zerg Chill, UkraineSC_Zerg DIMAGA, United States of AmericaSC_Terran Gretorp, and United States of AmericaSC_Zerg MACHINE are all mentally prepared to win the coveted title this year.

Korea (Republic of)SC_Protoss Bisu, Korea (Republic of)SC_Protoss Stork, Korea (Republic of)SC_Zerg Effort, Korea (Republic of)SC_Terran Boxer, and an amateur player will make up team Korea this year, pretty much giving themselves the 99% chance to walk away with 1st place, especially when having the home field advantage.

As for the overall IEF event itself, it will truly be an amazing event that has been organized by many dedicated people who strive to bring not only Asia, but the world a spectacular tournament and show. Hints of importance for this event can be seen when you look at the Korean government stepping in to work alongside one of many eSports events, the interest and need for foreign gamers to be enlisted in the tournaments, as well as the concerts that will take place by some of the biggest Korean artists that are out to date.

The AGP Duel Rankings Released (95 comments)
Posted by Streetrunner @ 23:12 CDT, 25 October 2009 - iMsg
The AGP has officially released it’s international Quake Live Duel Rankings. Based on a points system used by many professional sports and tailored to Quake Live, the AGP hopes to sustain an accurate system for all competitions to use by the players. This will create accurate seedings as well as proper skill separation for lower skilled tournaments.

Beginning with the 2009 QuakeCon Masters and Open tourneys and the recent IEM4 Global Challenge Dubai, the AGP Rankings awarded points based on progression to all participants. QuakeCon, having the most prize money and tournament spots this year (32+), receives more points between the two. In the future, online tournaments will be awarded the third most, following last by Ladders.

AGP Rankings will also be awarded in other game modes in competitions sanctioned by the AGP. Those will be posted soon. If you are an organizer of a competition and want it approved by the players, as well as be put into our points system, email us for review (contact).

Expect complete point breakdown of competitions involved in the next few weeks as well as regional and national rankings based on this same point system.

Blizzard loses vs KeSPA (46 comments)
Posted by Paladia @ 16:32 CDT, 25 October 2009 - iMsg
There will be no season four of the popular GomTV Classics. The Korean e-Sports Player's Association (KeSPA) and Blizzard Entertainment has had an ongoing war concerning the esport future of Starcraft 2 in South Korea and the first major battle seems to have been won by KeSPA.

Blizzard has for a long time been trying to get a larger piece of the pie that is generated by the massive Starcraft interest in South Korea. As their negotiations with the two largest tv broadcasters, OGN and MBC, failed, they then proceeded to sponsors GOM, an independent league in an attempt to make GOM the dominating Starcraft, WoW and WC3 body.

Over the past few years, with the help of a massive prize pool from Blizzard, GOM has grown to become one of the largest leagues. However, now it seems as this has come to an end as KeSPA has denied seven of its most popular teams from participating in the league, which in the end ment it would lose most of its popularity and hence it was forced to cancel the upcoming season. The affected teams were Air Force, Estro, MBC, KT, OGN, STX, SKT1.

Who will win the war in the end? According to reports Blizzard and KeSPA will meet to attempt further negotiations in December.
