Ages have passed since the peaceable Melem learned to harness the Fathom Orb, imbuing themselves with a trace of its baleful energy to enable “Ghost Walk”—a momentary phase-shift into another dimension. Even when they were sieged by hulking, chitinous marauders, the Ghost Walk saved them as it had many times before. Then, the unthinkable: One of the attackers returned and breached the Orb. With no alternative, the Melem broke their inviolable law and sent their most skilled assassin to the Fathom Orb, not knowing whether she would survive, let alone how she might return.

Nyx takes a walk on the extradimensional side with her Ghost Walk active ability. Slipping momentarily out of the Dreamlands, Nyx is able to avoid incoming attacks, sneak around threats to get a better angle, or even perform a lethal telefrag when she rematerializes. Should she reenter the Dreamlands in the same physical space as an enemy player, she destroys them from the inside out in a gory spray. While Ghost Walking, Nyx is invisible and invulnerable to all damage.

When a jump is just a little too far, Nyx has the solution. Having mastered the art of wall jumping, Nyx can make contact with a wall midway through a jump and perform another jump, doubling her distance. She can even do this while Ghost Walking to move quickly and stealthily through her environment.

The launch out of Early Access adds so much content and features that our community has helped shape. We will have full details soon, but we can reveal that we are adding:

Bots: We are adding full bot/AI support to the game (hell yes!). This means a better in-game experience for new players, with more training, tutorial, and solo options for offline play. Our bot system also means that our seasoned players can sharpen skills with target practice while waiting for matchmaking. Join a matchmaking queue, and wreck bots in offline target practice while you wait for a PvP match to launch!

Competitive Seasons & Online Leaderboards: PvP is at the very soul of Reflex Arena. When we launch out of Early Access, so begins Competitive Season One. Face off against the global community to earn your place in a new Online Leaderboard, with a new Competitive Points system.

Matchmaking Rewards: We are celebrating our new Competitive Points system in matchmaking and our competitive season launch, where the CP you earn in matches against players can be used for glorious golden weapons. This will kick off with the upcoming competition Season 1 - stay tuned for more information!

Brutal new skins and cosmetics are coming, as well as training map improvements, shiny new weapons and more are all coming in the Reflex Arena launch out of Early Access.

It’s important to note that launching Reflex Arena out of Early Access is just the beginning. The whole Turbo Pixel team will continue to update, create content, and add new features to the game - we are here for our community.

Map Selection: Teams will call heads or tails using /callvote random 2. The winner of the coin-toss picks the first map and the loser decides the second map. Both teams cannot pick the same map.

Server Selection: Any CPMA 1.48 server with standard settings could be used. If players can't agree on suitable server, it is picked by an admin. Once a player gets ready in-game he accepts the server and its settings as they are.

Game Start: Teams must play their matching within ten (10) minutes of games being assigned.

Match Reporting: After the matches are complete both teams are required to submit their results to an admin. Any discrepancies in reported scores will be investigated by admins.

Demos: Players must take demos of all their games. Players can use cg_autoaction 7. Players must be able to provide demos of their games upon request.

Cheating: Cheating will not be tolerated, and any players caught or suspected of cheating will be immediately dropped from the tournament.

Cross-Regional Games: This is an international tournament, all matches are to be played on the fairest servers by default, however, if players are agreeable they are free to use whichever server they like.

The loser of the map selection coin-toss will get to pick the first server, and when it is their map pick, the opposing team will pick the server.

In the event of cross-continental/Atlantic matches, teams will play will toss a coin, and the winner will either select the server.

Disputes: Admins have to ability to #shrekt you if they want.

Discord: ALL players are expected to join the CPMA Discord Server ten (10) minutes before the tournament begins in order to check-in.

Hello! After a much needed break from Reflex, I have decided to give it a go again and luckily, Jaguar has motivated me to create another race movie.

The runs that are showcased within the short movie were made over the past two weeks which made me realise that I want to produce a sequel to the first movie. I wasn’t quite sure whether I had enough time to make it but quite frankly, I wanted to extend my portfolio so I just sat down, thought of a few ideas, and ended up creating this piece. I also took into consideration the criticism that Simplicity has received here on ESR and worked on improving my overall edit which has allowed me to make the movie more cinematic and combine it with more appropriate soundtrack which also goes with the overall flow of the entire video.
