Ok, most of this site is made up of Europeans. What I want to know is, if McCain wins the presidential election, which of your countries should I move to?
Thanks! I was thinking about that just because I would have an easier time not having to learn a new language. (though I am not opposed to learning one or two, it's simply easier if I don't have to)
UK is lame. The only thing good about the UK is London, and that's only good because there are more foreigners than English. Not to mention the masses of teenage scum on the street these days :D
If it has to be and Englishspeaking country, then Australia, Canada or New Zealand. Or any scandinavian country tbh. They are all very stable and have a good infrastructure and from my experience, they all speak english well (but I stand to be corrected on that one).
If language is of no relevance you can pick any first world country? Or even a 2nd world country. There are decent places out there everywhere.
Not sure if you work or something, but I guess you could just go with the flow and see where your job qualification could take you?
I'm mostly remoting into adtrans on field tech requests for target margin adjustments for signal to noise ratio on dhcp based wan connections.
qualifications would be CCNA and MCSE.
I'm currently working for the rural area ISP Centurytel based in my hometown.
Not sure how exactly it is looking in the IT sector in Germany these days, but there's always whine about not enough qualified personnel. Australia also has a major lack in experts, but I hear it's pretty hard to get in there permanently.
I would recommend Canada, much easier to get used to for an average American than the Euro countries plus they speak English (sort of ey!). Do not move to UK, it is shit.
last week I met an American who is 26.
He grew up in New York and moved here to Germany to with 22 to finish his Master in Computer Science here. And i actually did ask how he liked it here and if he wanted to stay (cause I sometimes consider leaving here)
And he said he was actually quite happy here and plans to work here at least for some more years and that he prefers it over the US, o/c he doesn't have any real comparison to other countries.
I second Sweden. Safe to walk around at night, great country, great people (swedes are actually educated and they love to party), 100-100mb/sec internet connections. The only con might be the weather, but with a 100-100mb/sec internet connection who needs to go outside? And yea... The Women.

One scary thought about McCain, taking into account that he is 72, an agressive melanoma survivor, the possible stress of his position, his current public condition; the possibility of him dying in his 4-year-term raises over 60%...
Hey! I like the UK! And I thought Poland was pretty cool too, but for Poland you would probably want to earn a good salary which I believe is the problem most poles have.
