- the "format=table" is now ignored, when the output method is different from "echo".

yes, it also works with the Steam build of QL.

So you tested it?

I use the Steam overlay when I play QL and suddenly once every 20 minutes I guess my framerate can go down to 60 during 1-2 seconds.

Will this be fixed?

I have the overlay disabled, so no idea whether the overlay or steam or whatever causes those drops.
For me Steam is just an alternative to QL's Launcher.exe and I have the same 250fps as I have with the standalone Launcher.

I'll keep an open eye on that matter though.

extraQL is a seperate exe, this option when checked will also close/quit extraQL when you quit QL.

How do we get extraQL to work with steam? Is it possible?

extraQL should work fine with Steam. The "Start Steam" button is enabled when extraQL can find a QL steam installation on your PC (based on some Steam registry settings).

I just updated a couple scripts that open external web sites (like Twitch, ESR, QLRanks, ...).
Links in the "Twitter" script currently don't work until external link handling is fixed in the QL engine.

"start steam" is blacked out for me even though i've installed QL on steam

The "Start Steam" button is disabled if if either:
- the "Realm" input box isn't empty
- extraQL can't find QL's steam installation on your PC

For the latter, extraQL looks up the Windows registry for "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve\Steam" and takes the value of the "SteamPath" setting. Then "\SteamApps\Common\Quake Live\" is appended to that and checked if that directory exists.

Can you please take a look if that registry key and directory exists?

software\valve\steam\ points to my c:\ drive, but i installed quake live on steam into my g:\ drive to save space.

Works fine, both the ingame announcer as well as the serverbrowser elo column.

Just dropped in hook.js + qlRanks.usr.js into steamApps/quakelive/<steamid>/baseq3.

Predathor, mate, and maybe some other good coder in the community for cooperation - can you please make a similar launcher/layout for q3? Doesn't really need no tier system at first - we'll name our servers according to the last QL elo reached, so that we compete more or less equally. The point is - if it's possible to make smth similar as qlprism or extraql for Q3A - this is the time.

Channels and pings are now swift and sound, so that even osp dedicated nodes are operating sweet as candy. We could've play the regular q3 and stuff (which we already do, after 09/11), but all these cool features that prism/extraql have brought - they make it all waaay more accessible for people outside. I wonder if it's even possible to compile a decent launcher with server browser and stuff for q3.exe

Mind that there is no hope of bringing back any reason to id's QL-dept. Sponge&Sync are having been quite definite about their liking of the new updates and they won't pull back no matter what - corporate policy, you know - make a mistake and defend it till you're dead.

God only knows how cool it would be to return to our joy of proper weapon damage, pentagrams, enormous pulsating bowels and branches, hellish/gothic atmo, satanic voice of xian, blood&gibs, tactics over arcade "pew-pew", etc. Also - MAPS! tons of them - beloved, extreme, competitive, funny, and without any censorship for 5yo girlies.

QuakeLive has a built in "web browser" (awesomium), which executes the userscripts (javascript) and renders the HTML code.
Q3A does not have that afaik, so no way to run scripts and render HTML.
