Pt1 news team assemble.
Once there's a "team" then we figure out where each person would best fit in the production pipeline.

It would have been easier to make the game using that, but I wanted to get started on making game engines so I used C and openGL and picked a wolf3D clone as a project to get me started.

Im making a better one now that I know a bit more about programming.

to me it seems like you are looking for "permanent" developers...

i'm not confident enough in my audio production skills... but maybe you could do something like "open submissions"

e.g. "looking for artwork XY" or "looking for rocket launcher sound"

and people could submit their results for you to review... so more people can give it a try if they want do help....

just an idea though.... of course this will be needless if you get the right people in the first place

I've been using my ipad to control fl studio.
image-line remote.
It's pretty fuckin cool.

get a korg nanokontrol 2 and a m-audio air 25 or m-audio axiom 49, and you`ll be good for hood rat production with automation in your tunes

my brother has a studio if i ever really needed it. it's actually a real recording studio.
it's pretty sweet.

now just uses reaper which is freeware lol

It's the same as every other daw. i've used them all.
samplitude is my favorite.

His studio is for business.

fl studio is all about virtual midi and hardware midi, it has minimal sample tools for cutting and merging etc, all other DAW`s use, most of them are like full sound editors like sound forge etc, they are all bollox for midi

you have all the nerds talking it big when none of them can actually make a track, they buy a sample cd and just put a track together

reaper tutorials on how to program beats are 40 minutes long, in fl studio a tutorial will be 60 seconds

the only time you need samples it save on cpu or acapella`s, if you are going to make proper music, you will probably have midi over lan so you only really need samples for acapella`s, which now a days is like firewire and thunderbolt, you have your DAW on 1 PC and vst rack on another

I make all my own suff from scratch. I use drum samples... but individual drum hits.
From time to time i'll make my own kits from scratch though with synths.

Hooking up a vsti in samplitude is easy and programming it is too.

I only use samplitude for finalizing.

It has some cool functions.
Each sample on a track can have its own independent fx rack ontop of the track fx.
The included fx are awesome.
Their reverb sounds better than anyone elses to me.

fl studio works great as vsti in my little reaper and in any other daw, it's a great drum-machine

reaper is good for house music, drum & bass and trap and other simple music, nothing much else, and those scene run 90% on sample cds

meh, latest reaper is better and has advantages over FL, need a 27" monitor, and you can`t edit nothing when playing the track with ease, if you just want pure midi

top candy if you want to make atmospheric tracks with zebra etc
