Last weekend it was decided that myself and fellow PQ3/PQ4 staff member UltimateP would travel to New York City this weekend to cover the Trans-Atlantic Showdown. At the time we made all our reservations, we weren't sure if we would be able to film everything inside the event, but since then we have been granted unrestricted access to film. As we did for Winter CPL, we'll offer High Defintion 1280x720 video along with a much much lower resolution version for those on modems and people don't don't like downloading large files.
Our current plan is to film the players and the event in general along with player interviews. I also have gotten confirmation from my friend "bilz" who made the popular QuakeCon movie from this past year that he would put together a overview video soon after the event's conclusion.
PlanetQuake4.net has undergone a minor template redesign along with a newly laid out index and download page. The download page now features a nice comment system for users to post their feedback on files. There are still a few problems with the code (the tables going off the screen in IE) which I have to fix, but overall I'm happy with it. PQ3 and PQ4 specialize on file hosting so allowing users to post their thoughts on files using a nice comment system was something that was long overdue.
