How would I know who the commentator is? It's not like I'm paying attention at what is shown as credits in the beginning of a documentary, I'm not even sure if my rip has any. And I'm not exactly a BBC addict, so I would hardly recognise his voice? m8??????

Seems like I hit a nerve? I didn't watch it on regular TV, I never read about it anywhere on BBC.com or similar, I got it from p2p and watched without checking hardly readable credits on a crap VCD version, WHATEVER ://////////

looking forward to watch the whole series, might do that on Easter week-end at home :)

dl the hq xvid version mate. Just did so myself :o

I got the hq xvid version, I just burnt it to VCD to check whether (and how) it works on the DVD player + TV. The quality loss is imense and you get some stuttering too. The xvid version is awesome tho, about twice the resolution and very smooth :D. I wonder if I can burn this to disks without major quality loss so older DVD players which don't support xvid can play this? VCD sucks, and Nero won't let me burn SVCDs (dunno if they're that much better than VCDs).

SVCDS are much better. Why don't you just pick up a player that can play xvid? They really shouldn't that expensive. Even for a student :o

I'll most likely watch it on my $ widescreen notebook $ in xvid quality, I'd just like to be able to share it and have it on CD (DVD?) as it's better to watch on TV when more people are watching it (angles and stuff).

That still doesn't mean I have to recognise his voice. Would you recognise Heinz Sielmann if he's doing the talker for a documentary? Do you even know who he is? You hardly get to hear movies in their native language here in Germany, 98% is dubbed. So even if I had heard 10 of Attenborough's commentary before I would most likely not recognise him as I would only know the voice of the guy who dubbed him in all these movies.

well... I wasn't really into documentary stuff either, but recently I rented a dvd with "Fog of War" on it and I like it alot. Gonna have to dl some of the things from #5 this easter

I just got the last ep to watch, just finished watching the caves one.

It's really good. I mised a few episodes but i'll download them, worth it. I'm loving that new HD camera that they used to film the hunt with the dogs.

ye some great camera work, must have been lots of work to get these crazy angles but at the same time don't scare off all the animals :D
