When you shake hands with someone new repeat his name aloud. It may sound stupid but it does help ;) Of course, when you're meeting 50 new ppl you won't remember them all anyway ;)

The café was extremely dark and hence needed long shutter times if I wasn't going to use flash. People move around and my hands aren't as still as I'd like them to be.
