and for memory usage.. i've tried it myself, i'm not narrow minded.. ie7 takes alot more memory than ie6 but less than FF (with the same sites up in tabs [or new windows for ie6])

and pointing to slashdot doesn't prove your point :-).

applications should use less memory with time because programmers should do smarter solutions, but heck, let's just increase our memory and fill our browsers with shit...

Can you update the default theme so the there is one box at the top that includes and levels the bottoms of the three boxes (demos,columns,articles) bottoms to one level? Or something.

By default Firefox uses a specific amount of physical memory based on the available RAM of your machine (for caching, ~10%). It's up to you if you want to change this behaviour. All you need to do is edit your user.js, like:

// Enable/Disable memory cache.
user_pref("browser.cache.memory.enable", false);

// Specify the amount of memory cache. (32 MB)
// -1 = determine dynamically (default), 0 = none, n = memory capacity in kilobytes
user_pref("browser.cache.memory.capacity", 32768);

Use the first entry to disable memory caching (disk caching is still enabled), use the second to reduce the amount of RAM used for caching.

yeah man ford fiesta is the best car around with "some" modification..
the average user can't do that, web browsers should work good out of the box imo.

Bootes hid the top of the comment box (so you don't see the date etc.). Unfortunately the anchor point was also hidden, which stopped the browser finding the anchor.

I've moved the anchor point outside of the comment box now to make it work in this theme.

I've made a few changes - added a highlight border to new comments and also made the navigation menu into a dropdown.

It's added as theme #9 so as not to affect the original:
