"OMG we made a very good start and then we fucked up and we have to make it look exciting again...! Let's start to mix up things and bring in more characters!"

Heroes is new... It's at least interesting, compared to Lost, which is getting predictable and boring from time to time.

What did I think at the start, what will they find? Some underground base or something? Yes. And they found it.

What about the "smoke"? Did I think it will be explained soon? No. And it wasn't. At least not for 2,5 series.

Did I think that there will be other people involved in anything that happens on this island?
Yes. And it was like that.

Did I think it won't be over after 1 or 2 series because there will be some twist at the end to make it last longer? Yes. And here we are, S3, still the same place, same story, almost no advance.

I could go on like this and write a lot more.

The unpredictable things that you think about... are just space fillers. Nothing serious. They started a story, they want to finish it, but not yet... So they have to make something that keeps the audience excited. By keeping the audience excited they generate a lot of unanswered questions throught the story, and some of them get even forgotten. Do you remember the part with Hurley getting mentally deranged? I just brought it up for an example...

Sometimes I'm really getting annoyed by it. They make some "exciting" plots in some episodes, which make you think that you will find out something, but NO. You are at the same point again. Nothing new, no new information at all. Just a circle going around.

From my point of view a good story is a good story because it has a good start, an interesting message which evolves through it, and an ending which makes you stunned or leaves you with a lot of questions, but also feeling like you learned or figured out something from it. And Lost is not like this. It just keeps you watching it, and watching it... Without an ending. But still, it is no surprise, since this is what brings them the money. And that is what matters more.

I think I'm gonna watch it until the end of S3, and if it's gonna go back to the same point again, probably I'll just leave it as it is.

Agreed. Writing for season 2 and 3 sucks ass. They're probably writing comic book style: write the next episode when it's needed, not really caring about the bigger picture.

I must say that i like Ben, Juliet and Alexandra. The other Others aren't all too interesting. Besides, i still think it's really fucking gay to just kill off Ana-Lucia, Libby and Mr Eko, which were all interesting characters. Michael and Walt going off with the boat, zzzzzz. Seriously, that's a whole lot of screw ups.

As far as I know they had the majority of the "story" written at the start of the first season however after it's success more seasons were wanted and therefore they are having to stretch the whole thing out.

It was a pretty long way from "Oops, our plane crashed on an island." to "OMG, POLARBEARS, STRANGE SMOKE, WEIRD SCIENTOLOGY PPL!11!"

No offense, but i think Lost is teh best show in a couple of years. And I wouldn't want it to stop soon.

Don't know why are you protecting this... S1 was good, that's all. But anyway if you like it, keep on watching it... This is what gets them more money.

I predicted the "cliff hanger" to the "mini season" after 5minutes into the first episode back.

tbh all these series are shite

prison break is hardly a show

all it does is constantly give you incredibly unlikely cliffhangers that make you want to see the next episode. im not saying i dont like it, ive watched every ep and my fingers are itching to download the new ep on the 22nd or whenever it comes out, but nevertheless, prison break isnt exactly a show known for its indepth character development, style and story line.

Season 1 of prison break was great.
Season 2 of prison break is awful, awful stuff.
