Well Hatton really didnt get a single good punch in whilst Mayweather took it upon himself to rearrange Ricky´s face. Not that I favored Mayweather, I really wanted the brit to win and he did show that he had a good chin by taking Mayweathers rocking punches, but he really didnt do anything but that.

Ricky doesn't grapple in that way as such, he just gets in close and works the body. Have a look as his past fights and clips; it was Mayweather hooking up and not wanting to let go, knowing if he let Hatton move on the inside he would have major trouble.

Big difference between grappling and working the inside. Mayweather is just above everyone else as far as being an awkward defensive fighter goes (see the De La Hoya fight) and wasn't letting Hatton do what he needed to do (obviously).

I think if Mayweather keeps fighting he's going to end up like Naseem when he fought Barrera, someones going to be that touch quicker and have his defence worked out.
