To all of you who think something is suspicious in this demos... I know Impulse very well and I can tell you he is a 100% cheat. Always was and always will be.
Really? I personally thought this was one of the worst ztn games ever (between decently skilled players, anyway). And i can't say i appreciate impulse's 'blablabla dun gief a fook' attitude, zero sportsmanship. :/
Not saying it wasn't intense, but it made my eyes bleed, seeing the mistakes both players did, and how impulse was rushing spartie with mg after spawns..
There's a bug that has happened to me once or twice, basically giving you "prosound" for a while. Has disappeared for me during the match but lasted all game long for someone else I talked to.
Well that's a serious issue. From what people had said I thought the problem was just the extra things that could be heard with CNQ3 normally, is that not the problem?
Edit: checked with impulse and his demo, it is a bug where the wrong sound system was used. Just to be clear what was posted in another thread with arQ talking about sound changes has nothing to do with this, this was wrong and will be fixed.
> it is a bug where the wrong sound system was used
no, it isn't. you don't "accidentally" get prosound enabled, and no part of cpma gets confused and thinks it's on - it's some combination of legacy q3 servers, gtv (or other mv specs), and Weird Magic Thing X, so the gtv acts as a "tunnel" between the players. the same thing happens with coaches in osp, but we've never figured out exactly what the magic thing IS that gets it into that state, since it's really a vq3-only issue and they never bother reporting it or working out how to reproduce it.
in 1.41 cpma i have same bug, didnt used any cnq3.exe or other, just default quake3.exe
maybe in early cpma then 1.41 dunno then we switched from osp to cpma..
I really liked to see someone playing whith so much heart :) not that usual close to perfect botlike running/shooting, actually it was like seeing some emotions in a sooo old game, nice impulse!
Am I the only one that finds it annoying that the demos get renamed and their timestamp removed?
Not knowing what order the maps were played in makes is rather dull if you view game 3 first heh... or am I missing some method to get the order? (without reading the match report/screens etc...)
Dude, word! I hate that shit too. Nowadays, there is no date in the filename, the timestamp is removed, and no one bothers to paste the maporder in the description... and it's hard to find it without spoiling the result for yourself. :(
Aye it is quite annoying indeed. The best you can do is ask someone who was in the match. And you just might get a response within 10 seconds ;) impulse ftw!
nice to see quake 3 after like 10 years so f*cked up
still not consider to play quake 4? :p much faster, much better movement and nobody could stop tox :D
gg q3
VoO if you so cool come to vq3 and beat all this suck players, lol.wanna play quick games, play it.Some play CA and are quick and good aimers, but in duel they are nothing.Go to defrag and show you speed :D
