I think you added a few too much ramps.. a few ramps are nice, but all over the place they just slow down gameplay imho.
I don't like that there are 4 ways into the flagroom, might just be that I'm used to 3, but defending 4 ways is not an easy job.

on the design I'd say it looks a little flat, but since you said your going to add detail, it is probably going to be fixed.

I don't think theres anything wrong with 4 ways into base, since it's seems to be harder to leave the base than enter it. Thats why theres better with a ramp in base rather than jump pad, slows down your escape if you're attacker. Two defs could take care of that base easily.

In other hand I think its a creative map with all these ramps, makes you play in a different way and I believe it will be less hit & run without jump pads., now you probably have no choice but to do 180degrees rails when carrying the flag ;)

GJ 7ix, looking forward for a 5on5 pickup test on this beta.

EDIT: Alright, did the first 5on5 pickup test on the map and it felt nice. Very fun map to play with a lot of action and trickjumping (spend like the whole game trying to get the MH flawlessly, but that will only make the map more fun to play when u learn and get better).

Things that need to be fixed: Weapon placement is too low, so you can jump over them which is annoying and not according to other Q4 maps standard. Perhaps add some arrows on the walls that points to the enemy base on your side of the map. That is... pretty much it I guess. :) The design of the map is not like other maps but you just have to get used to it, such as the ramps etc, and its fun once u get the hold of it.

RAMP HATER

The textures looks horrible, I hate dark grey, it looks all equal and my eyes are flashing oO.
For a 5on5 the map is to tiny. A good one for the 4on4 US pickup :p

My advice, make a 3-way from/to def room and scale the map bigger with colored textures:)

You changed a lot of bad thing since Beta1 and now its a lot better :)

Its an awesome map, and the ramps are pretty cool and something I have been looking for in a ctf map. The people on my ctf server really like ths map a lot :) A few have said it was their favorite. Great work, I can play this map all day and not get bored.

I like the upper level, becuase using that level is faster than on the lower one where you navigate the ramps.

I like how you put in many parts where you can utlize circle jumps too, so people can jump get the reward of having a faster experience.

I like as well, that its very small size download. I like the Lost Fleet color to it so I dont have complaints aobut that.

The only thing, was some of the ramps are hidden if you dotn forceambient in the past release.

The map doesnt dip in framerate at all either with no ambient being forced, so great work on that. And if you didnt have the ramps I think the map would be too fast, so having t he upper level helps and keeping the lower level with the ramps.

I cant say more about this map wihthout sounding like some sort of ass kisser, but t he map is the design i have been waiting for, I love the ramps and I have been looking for ctf map that uses them like this one does :)

Beta3 is nice with all its details, but there are some things that has to be changed imo:

Arrows, change back to what u had in beta2, these arrows looks just weird and doesn't fit the maps.

Mid, I get huge fps drop @ mid (drops ~30fps), dunno if it has to do with visportals or sth. Anyhow its enough drop to fuck up my aim etc.

At lg ammo / armor shards below where u get the regen towards mid (mmhm) u have done your fancy details a litte bit too much I think =) You made some kind of hole in the ground and when u walk on top of it it feels like u flying. The clip isnt accordingly or sth.

RA at mid is placed too much in the air I think

Flag is placed too close to the platform I think

Sometimes when I tried to grab YA I got blocked by something at the edge so I couldnt get up. I think it was the arrow or sth?

The regen-jumppad can make you knock your head on the "roof", which actually is the space/sky =)

Otherwise the regen jump thing is great =) You can get it by jumpig toward the pole at high speed and fly up to jump pad and grab the regen (just like ramp-jump) or u can rocketjump direct to regen and bounce back on the jumppad.

And the map isnt too small or too big... man, its perfect for 5on5 and is most definitive the best custom q4 ctf map ever done. You people who whine about the texture: I dont think the map is meant as eye candy. Its the design and ramp jumps features that are impressive. But its all up to 7ix if he want to change textures but on my gfx settings (High) it looks cool and fits the maps layout. But if u play at low settings I believe it doesnt look that awesome, but if u play at low settings then you're obviously not playing for eye candy anyway.

Its so nice to see a CTF map that actually fully utilizes Q4's movement physics in its design. I havent had a chance to really play any games on it, but I've added it to my clans server The Glove Shack
