even in windows, i did find somewhat of a solution last night. I changed to a cloth mousemat and it is usable. The Func f-series just doesn't agree with laser mice at all it seems even though it works fine with my optical diamondback

Func F-series are some of the best plastic pads for laser mice when it comes to top speed and negative acceleration. The negative accel and skipping is a product of the Razer 3G infrared sensor which is very picky about surface. Most likely the problem comes from the infrared light, since I've never had the same problem with red led optical mice. Btw. DB doesn't come with laser, it is LED optical.

I have the diamondback 3G along with the Razer destructor mousepad, and are not experiencing any negative acs, I have tested it quite good. It is the same sensor the original deathadder have, so it is really good.

Hovewer in the esreality test, the performance go down when using lower dpi on deathadder. Does anybody know if Razer have fixed this whit the 3G infrared sensor today..? I am using 800 on db 3G, but no negative acs.

Hi, I started using a cloth mousepad instead of a hard surfaced razer one and it doesn't skip anymore. I got the Roccat Taito, works a treat :)

That problem was fixed pretty fast with firmwares updates afaik

have you tried adding +acc in-game to help counter the problem?
