Match your FPS to your hz, but in all honesty, talk to Fox (Fojji) and Vamp1re. They both run LCD's and know more exact values then I do. I run a CRT, so I don't know EVERYTHING about LCD's like they do =)
thats what i do
refresh at 60, res is 1280x1024
maxpackets at 125, fps at 125
no hit reg problems or anything, and i dont see the tearing anymore
but the tearing was minimal to begin with
fps 125, mp 125 but most important is the resolution since most LCDs have shitty intern pixel-rewrapping: use the native resolution - or in case you have a nvidia gfx card: go to the driver menu and check the "Change flat panel scaling" menu item and have your gfx card change the signal to the native res of the LCD (for exampe i'm playing a game on 800*600 but native is 1920*1200 - so i have the driver re-wrap the pixels from 800*600 to give a full 1920*1200 signal to the monitor instead of having the monitor change the signal which would cause a mad input lag)
i second that. i got a tft a couple of weeks ago myself and i have to say that the graphic card re-wrapping really helps. in the ATI driver this is called "GPU scaling".
besides maxpackets, fps etc, i noticed that the gamma and enemycolor are important on lcds. i used to play with dark blue enemymodels and a relatively high gamma on my crt - on the tft i couldn't hit shit with these settings. i'm on low gamma and green enemymodels now, which works A LOT better for me.
