Nope, it comes and goes at random it seems. Your problem with the alt key was it lost focus from ql and ql froze until you pressed alt again, right?

Yeah, that was exactly my problem and it happened after switching QL to window/fullscreen. Then the ALT key lost focus and froze the game whenever you pressed it.

I already do this because I don't want to feel like I'm running two web browsers. Install firefox, install prism, create an app out of Quake Live and voila, you'll never need to start Firefox proper again.

but ql already crashed for me and took down my other brwoser windows, that sucked
furthermore i dont want the navigation bar etc. i prefere to keep it clear.
hitting backspace while having ql winowed wont result in firefox getting back to last page anymore, that really annoyed me.
also i love having an icon for ql on my desktop ;) although i guess i could just use a normal webshortcut and change the icon
some ppl might also be happy with the performance boost, personally i dont need that

I tried PRISM a few weeks ago to see if help with my lag/stutter issues and I helped a lot. Quake Live generally runs smoother inside PRISM, I recommend it for anyone having trouble with lag etc..

Anything like this for IE? I get stutter issues with Firefox (Although I'll try it because of what Everkill said) so I use IE.

EDIT: Never mind, this thing is fucking sweet. No extra bullshit, just Quake Live, launchable from the desktop. This is exactly what most people want.

how do i connect with prism to a server with url address ?

the only way i know to join a server in ql is to start a prac game/ or join a server and then tpye /connect <ip>
that obviously also works with prism, so im not sure what exactly it is your looking for

Load up firefox, go to the quakelive site, tools -> convert.

My brother had the same problem as you, I've no idea how he'd set it up in the first place but doing it that way (again?) seemed to fix it.
