Crash course in SA politics:

The country is governed almost exclusively by the ANC (Nelson Mandela's party, now controlled by Jacob Zuma) except for the Western Cape (where I live), which was won by the DA, whose leader is a white woman called Helen Zille. The ANC is not quite happy with this and have attacked her at every available opportunity - most (i think almost all?) of her cabinet are males - the ANC has responded by calling her chauvinist, and saying that her cabinet are her "boyfriends and concubines" with whom she sleeps around.

Obviously there has been some backlash, you can't just go claiming that a public person is having sex with everyone. The ANC has changed their statement to saying that 'sleeping around does not imply having sex' - or something to that effect. A radio presenter has contacted a spokesperson for the ANC (might be ANCYL, the 'youth league') to ask for further definition of their term "sleeping around". Comedy gold ensues:

Further interesting note: Zille commented (after being accused of this the first time) that Zuma is endangering his wives (he has 3 of them iirc) by having unprotected sex with people he KNOWS to be infected with HIV (this is a well admitted fact: he was accused of rape by one of these women, he admitted to having sex with the woman, and said he took a shower after so that he would not be infected, hence the millions of 'showers cure aids' jokes). The ANCYL responded by threating Zille with militant action and threatning to render the western cape 'ungovernable'.

Moral of the story? HOW THE FUCK ARE SOUTH AFRICANS SUPPOSED TO DEAL WITH THIS CRAP WITHOUT EVEN A QL SERVER. QL SERVERS IN SA, NOW. PLEASE. FUCK.
