btw shoutcasters totally suck imo, they just doesnt share same kind of stream of words like djWHEAT or Joe and 2gd... there are all the time these pauses with nothing to say and the worst is that they cant really analyze tactics of the clans or anything like that, mostly they are just telling the same what we see on the screen..

so all in all, stream quality is ok, but please just get more skilled shoutcaster / learn to cast better. I just hope someone else will give a shoutcast for quakecon than these guys...

But yeah, he did. That's why his casts (imo) have been getting progressively worse over the years. He's forgotten a bit how to play at a high level so his casts are suffering. To be fair though, q3 is probably one of the, if not the, hardest games to cast.

hoens is absolutely correct here - it's also not a question of just having played at a high level. 2gd right now is missing a lot of stuff because he is no longer playing at the top level. if he were to prepare for a tournament and compete in it, i think his casting would benefit enormously.

this map is bad for competition, way too much health/armor for def

the other map is bad too, too rail heavy in bases ; at least the rail should be placed farther away from defs, eg switch it with plasma

what a bad mapping habit these low scoring maps are made of, imo

random screen freezing (sound keeps running) makes it quite unwatchable

low-scoring maps suck, id should fix them ; no caps no fun

true, imo ctf should be at most 4on4 and maps should be smaller. Additionally base should maximally have like 100 armor and no pickable health over 100hp.. Most of the battles should happen in the mid and most of the important items should be placed in to the mid so that controlling mid would be almost compulsory to win a match.. Also it seems that all mods in quake really require the limit of 5 for rail ammo since its overused in every teambased mode..

What is wrong with you people, sigh ctf games are much more fun when it's 2-1 1-0 overtime etc, it's NOT FUN when you have 8-2 games etc, (f.e happens a lot in 4v4) It's like saying, "Yeah I like womens football alot better because they score more goals" I MEAN CMON, this is a mod where every single cap counts, and it takes alot of effort to think about your escaping route etc, and alot of teamwork. ggs LLL see you next season.

It's the same as they were discussing about adding more tdm maps here: http://www.esreality.com/?a=post&id=400459 It might be better for spectators but it's not as enjoyable. and I don't care about spectators :p

Frankly, just using the BiBS Grand Final as a case study, the first map (Siberia) ended 1-0, and I doubt I saw any of the spectators "bored" during the map.

Make sure you read up on the Season Report that was released yesterday, where you can find a lot interesting stats as well as who the Player of the Season is.
