I think cooller made a bad decision, maybe it was over confidence, or may it was him taking his friendship with av3k into account. I don't think we'll see him offering a replay if the same situation comes up in the future though.
Av3k did play well so can't take anything away from him, just really bad luck i guess on coollers part.
err I don't understand why it would be good sportsman on coollers part for allowing the restart? Wouldn't it be the reverse? Everyone plays the same game and whining about a bad spawn is irrelevant. Could happen to anyone and so for avek to allow to be replayed is bad sportsmanship on his part.
like on a penalty kick if the guy stubs his toe and taps it to the goalie is he gonna whine for a rekick?
Yes, I agree with what you're saying, but you can't just look at it from our view. Av3k's view was that the first start they both got equal spawns and were going fine. Second restart Cooller got mega and red. Third respawns, they got basically the same spawns as the first time (and Av3k won it).
So he must have thought "well, if I got the first respawns, I woulda won" and feels justified that he accepted the rematch.
Personally... I wouldn't have. It's random and you can't complain about spawns.
avek should be worried about is extreme weight gain. Its like the first time I saw zamuz at quakecon like 03 he was skinny and now he is a fat ass. Looks like avek is heading the same way. i thought euros cared about their weight?
rofl no? Its just assumed that americans are fat, so when there is a fat american gamer its no big deal. But euros always laughing at how fat americans are and then there are all these fat euro gamers. Soooooooooooooooooo hahahahahahah fattties.
Ye ofc Av3k is pathetic and NOONE from those stupid and retarded noobs like h8m3 don't EVEN mention that IT WAS COOLER(he demand restart for the first time, mach can bean simply unpaused and 30s of timeout makes admin of QL servers at IEM idiot !) and the person who allow him to do it FAULT !
In fact Cooller make a great decision and will be remember forever !
Do you know such thing as honour ? Probably not :/
Its actually quite sad to see such behaviour from top players, because many young players look up to these guys and will act in the same manner, blaming balance of the game and bad luck for their failures, forfeiting matches in big tournaments instead of accepting the random factor of the game and trying to adapt their game to any situation. Admins made a mistake in allowing this, but they wont let it happen again I hope otherwise it will just turn into circus.
STFU, av3k said cooller was in better shape than him and should be in the finals.
There was nothing separating av3k from cooller in the matches, except for luck.
Both had same aim and movement. Cooller had better timing. Luck was the decider, and cooller doesn't blame av3k for having the luck - he blames himself for not having the luck, he knows av3k is a good player but has more luck than himself in most games.
Man, I don't think that you're replying to what he was trying to say... =(
And I agree with you that av3k looked better and cooller would have a tough time at trying to win three maps from him. But that doesn't mean that what was done was right. Their dubious decision to restart the first map and the final outcome of their matches are two unrelated matters. The restart just showed the randomness of the game, and if the game is really so random, then it's harmful to encourage restarting it just to get better chances. Random is random.
I don't see why people blame av3k for this debacle. It was Coollers fault for making a strong suggestion to replay. Granted av3k could have done the right thing and taken the lose, but it's not like he complained until he got a replay.
