The tournament is going to run over a period of 2 months, we will announce streams and coverage for the big name matches when we get into the later rounds.

The first week was laden with them due to people signing up and then deciding they didn't want to play, but the rest of the tourney was relatively unblemished. 1 game per week seems to be a pace that QW players enjoy.

It is not supposed to be a one day tournament, you know the kind where each game doesn't really matter, as you have a new match starting in 5minutes.

This is a long, slow paced tournament that will allow for some nice coverage and scene drama throughout a longer period. The players who have signed up knows this, as we have had duel tournaments working this way for 6 years.

The one day/one weekend cups are fun to participate in no doubt, but they are rarely considered as something prestigious. Ownage (and DuelMania, the tourney that introduced the format) is hold very high in terms of prestige, as players have a whole week to prepare for their match and practice before facing their opponent.

This together with allowing for more in debt coverage makes it a tournament that have multiple peak times during it's run. :D

Sure there is somewhat of a hype around milton. But i wouldnt compare it to the fanboyism that surrounds q3players like zero4 or polosatiy. It was many years since we saw some true fanboys in qw. I think timber or kane was the last active qw-players to have fanboys according to q3/cs-standards.

depends on what a fanboy is to you. reppie always gets a lot of hype and dag+griffin are considered the best ever by some. locktar also had quite some fans on ch-tv for posting his i-can-rj-on-dm2 demos.
