Yeah, dahangs +back on in most matches this tourney was very impressive. He needs to learn how to keep control on DM6 though, like in this particular game it was all too easy for rapha to get back in time and time again.

i´m not good or bad, i´ve played quake to long, much longer than you i suspect to know that ping is a big factor, usually lower skilled players dont bother to much if the ping is high or low coz maybe they sduck anywaysd,,,and no, 60 ping isn´t ok at all, like i said, maybe for lower skilled players...

Well no shit, when you're fighting LG to LG and you've got a significantly higher ping you're going to get raped. However, in these demos, Rapha had 65, Dahang had 55, a mere 10 difference isn't going to make it autoloss for Rapha in LG fights, so your comparison doesn't even apply.

You don't even know the game you are playing. Up until 80 ping QL uses lagless netcode, meaning the hit detection is done client-side: if your mouse is over the model on YOUR screen and you press click, it registers a hit. The only difference is that rail/rocket/whatever fires with a slight delay.

and the reality is much different from the theory. If it wasn't unlagged, like q3, then we would had an idea how to aim in different pings (like aim infront of the model). Like it is now, sometimes I don't have a clue of what is going on, mainly after the update and when I play vs low pings. Many times, what I see is much different from what I hear or what is actually happening.

From what ppl say (cause I have never pld with low ping), even with good pings u get many through-body rails, or counted missed rails and other weird stuff.

you can hit with the LG actually. i've played with 60 ping pretty much all my life. once you get used to it, you can hit just fine.

it's another story if you constantly play with 10-20 ping and have to jump on to a server where you ping 60 though.

I think maybe you just underestimate how nerfed you are. Play those same people on a server where you jump from 60 to 10-20 and suddenly you're dominating, because you've had to focus so much more heavily on positioning in-fight due to your disadvantage.

I am kind of confused about one thing however, they both could have 30-40 ping in IL or VA servers but its beyond me why they were playing with rapha about 66 ping and dahang arnd 56, seemed stupid.

I wouldn't take this too seriously, it's an online exhibition event, they don't have anything to prove here and there's nothing on the line so I don't think either is playing 100%.

The weird thing is that 80 or above ping feels so much worse compared to 60 or even 70. At 60-70 I have to lead a lot less for example and it feels alot closer to the feel I got while playing with the cpma netcode compared to the mess I get at 80 or above. Wonder if that's just me that feels there shouldnt be such a huge gap in between.
