That's the part I don't get. If they made QL like a ridiculously cheap monthly/yearly or whatever subscription then I'm sure most of us would pay for it if they gave frequent maps, mods and the like
Hell, even at $1 per person per month that makes more sense then releasing a half hearted port every so often for free
ql isnt really a new game and doesn't have a singleplayer to lure players in
there's also for some reason a strong attraction for people to play whatever generic war game is new at the time instead of deathmatch games. no idea why.
someone plz upload a picture with bloom+modifying settings to make it look like a semiwallhack (glows so much that you can see someone behind a corner), so id removes it.

I am all about some mip weapons but just having one ugly looking railroad coming out from ur lg and the rest of the weapons/explosions looking normal just does not fit well imo. lightningstyle 4 still ftw.
Dunno what they were thinking with the current item layout on ctf5. The geometry looks fine but the item placements are kinda 'wtf?'. It's a shame because it could be an interesting map if they just moved some stuff around.
I think the layout itself is not THAT bad, it could certainly replace ctf3 as the 5th map of the list, but for god's sake man, put some health and armor in the base.
First thing I thought dude. Maybe I'm an LG whore, but as soon as I loaded the map up to try I sighed when I came to the realization I had to use all the weapons... DERP :(
I only just noticed that they changed my grenades, team force model and that thing that makes map's rounded edges squarer (of which I can't remeber the command of and cba to find out... Which is gash).
But yeah, rail and crosshair changed here as well... Not entirely sure why.

Your nade/rail colors are now independent of team colors. Use cg_WeaponColor_Grenade 0xFFFFFFFF for white nades and color1/color2 [1-26] for rail. These are for your nade/rail colors only.
Team/enemy nades/rails will still use upper color if you have cg_ForceEnemyWeaponColor 1 and cg_ForceTeamWeaponColor 1.
cg_WeaponColor and cg_WeaponColorStyle no longer exist.
even if you change stuff with cg_gunx/y/z, the rail beam origin is always in the lower right (it worked in osp afair)
with lg it works of course (with drawgun 1/2, with drawgun 0 the beam always comes from center/bottom screen)
maybe it works in cpma, i can't test atm, but last time i tried it in ql, even if your weapon model is centered, the rail beam still starts at the same place in the lower right :)
only really useful change imo are the added advanced settings in th game settings. that's a nice feature + more colors. most of the other stuff (including the ctf map) is meeeh!
