After all the crap we had to take for offering several competitions a 100% dedication in exchange for allowing us to stream their games, where many people - you among them iirc - called us power tripping idiots for arranging a two-way-deal with those cup admins. Why do you still think we would deny you guys to stream when I made my point perfectly clear in that infamous topic that we would stream whatever we want and that any other streamer can do whatever they want on whatever server, with us on it or not.

On a side note, final words about that deal was that it was not about barring others it was about offering the viewer the choice between every single game out there. Now since CM stopped doing it, we lack the bandwidth to keep providing this option so I apologize to the viewers out there for all those games that didn't get streamed. We try...

So next time, stop making an edrama out of it and just join the game ;)

I would have a problem with anybody yes. But that is not my point. I didn't think you would have a problem with us also streaming, I just don't think you should have to make that choice it should be the cup admin that decides who covers their cup.

I have never been critical of the coverage Holysh1t offers, we even say on our stream that if people are having issues with our offering be it loading problems or that they dislike our commentary then you are broadcasting also.

The whole first come first served idea just seems flawed anyway. What if somebody streaming a 100kbps stream had asked first and refused to let any of us stream, would it still be the rule that first come first served. Add to that fact that I had originally asked to do the final last year when it was first announced, so what counts as first come first served anyway. Sad thing is that ESL TV did not cover a single game of their own event and we covered both the final of this and their EMS TF2 promoting them for free only for admins to act like the ESL are doing us a favour more then the other way around.

Incidentally between the two streams we had over 600 people viewing the final which is probably the highest amount for a TDM yet.

yes, since the streamers aren't paying anything for the privilage you're probably the only online cup admin to have such a rule. because the others know they should be focusing on pleasing the VIEWERS, not the streamers. that's most beneficial for the cup itself, aswell.

that's why i'm saying there shouldnt be any quarrels between the streamers. the only way you could create one would by saying something that will most likely result in a quarrel like, say, "It's up to HS guys, ask them".

and please, ESL's focus on this tournament isn't just for the players, obviously the aim is publicity for the ESL name. if you don't care about publicizing the tournament like you say they should remove you for someone adequate who won't stand in the way of volunteer streamers the entire community wants, for stupid reasons.
