i know about 1 sysadmin that is a geek, and about a dozen that arent. that job is just mainstream nowadays

sad part is most of the "non-nerd" admins have no clue what to do when somethings not working :>

exactly my experience. if they cant find it in their books or on technet, it's aaaalll over

then you come up with your own simple and elegant solution and they declare it against the security rules

its the other way round, the non nerd admins grow up messing around with pc`s, the nerd admins have changed job and done some tv advert trainning IT course, and can only follow the manual

people who grow up with it all have a natural state of mind and dont have to tip toe about all nerdy

i guess you got the wrong idea of "nerdy" admins :p

i`ve never pissed in a pot,
use tmobile web n walk and socks5 for ftp, you can bring they`re contentlock with ease and it takes 6 hrs to restart, so they changed the proxy that wont flood if you force out going headers
and i aint a hacker, its boring, too lazy to code proerly and find all the infos you need, and everyone elses tools and apps usually suckballs
