Why not the Acer 120hz? It's as close to the Alienware as it gets for like 40% less money... I have both the 2233rz and the Acer one and I can't notice much difference between them in terms of performance. The colors on the Samsung are a bit better tho.

Also Viewsonic will launch a LED 120 hz monitor soon. I'd also wait for that to check it out.

no i don't. But my gf needed a new monitor so I just gave her my old 2233rz and got the Acer one since the opportunity rose up as I read it was a little better.

I've read a couple reviews that say that the Acer has a bit of a sharpness problem on the desktop, like if you're just browsing the web fonts look ugly and over-sharpened. Do you experience the same issue with it? Is it the same on the Samsung?

that is easily fixed by disabling overdrive (only needed when playing 3D content) via the service menu.

I read a review between the Acer and the Alienware and the alienware performed much better. I can get the Alienware for about 100 more than the Acer.

Im not sure about the 2233rz, i've used one in 3d, it's okay i guess.

I managed to pick up my aw2310 for $425 AUD, good price, only $25 more than the 2233rz. It's a pretty fucking awesome monitor and all that jazz.

do you even know how that test works? Time runs on a monitor and if it trails then there is input lag, if not there IS NOT INPUTLAG and test is 100% fool proof, it cant be that guy making the test would have screwd it...

I would like to see some decent advice on the LG since pretty much everywhere it says it has near to 0 input lag with the thru smth mode enabled.

I've had this monitor for almost a year now and it's fucking awesome. Even cpm on 120hz plays just as fluid and smooth as my old CRT.
Seriously, these monitors rock. Input lag for me is NOT noticable at all.

Asus have made a 23" 120hz monitor now so you maybe want to also check that out as well.

They are still fucking expansive and rare in Russia... I want to buy Samsung, but I need to sell my 24 mr. input lag T240 first.

picked up the alienware. its really nice. never touching 60hz ever again.

The input lag is noticeable when you're in a sniping fight in TF2. With a CRT I almost always had the jump. With my 2233 not so much. I don't care though, it's still a great monitor.

I am really thinking of buying the w2363d instead of any other 120 hz monitor because it haves all the inputs i need.

I am worried though with input lag after reading the above comments.

The alienware is overpriced and the acer I dont know actually in some reviews it performs well in other reviews it doesnt.
Seeing the lg get positive ratings overall I think it would be the best choice. Only digitalversus state a 23 ms lag on the lg but they also state high input lag on the acer and the asus and the alienware (strangely lower then the lg). But I dont trust digitalversus anyway. Also in europe the lg is easier to get atm in america it isnt.
The alienware seems like the choice for you if you like some better colours(probably not much) a adjustable stand etc. :D saying this because I dont have any real-life experience and wanna bump this a bit for more info.

you might. i have a viewsonic 120hz screen and when i had a 4850 i would get a lot of weird stuttering when moving the mouse around on the desktop @ 120hz and native res. doing some research at the time suggested it had something to do with ati cards not sending enough signal power for 120hz when it detected an lcd screen, however this was a long time ago so it could have been fixed in driver updates or something. i returned the 4850 and went nvidia at the time.

ASUS VG236H and LG W2363D should be the best 120hz monitors with the least input lag. I read a lot of bad stuff about the acer GD245hq input, and the samsung 2233rz should be worse than the acer GD245hq.

I just read the 2233rz does have the least input lag amongst the 120Hz monitors. The Acer should be alright, but not the best. Haven't read much of the LG W2363D yet, but the ASUS is a bit overpriced for me.

The Acer doesn't seem to be too popular. I've read some complaints regarding noise and overdrive (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZO__kY-2WU) (this dude here: http://www.planet3dnow.de/vbulletin/showthrea...amp;page=2 is complaining all the time about the fucked up colour settings, the overdrive and ghosting. He sent it back to Acer.)
