just tried login in through http://www.quakelive.com/#login and it takes me right back to #home without me being logged in!@#

After clearing cookies I managed to log in. Then when I clicked to join a friend's game, I was again given the error message.

Cleared cache and cookies, reloaded ff, cleared again, still did not work. Tried browsing privately, still does not work. It is even worse now, it used to log me in but not now either way if I try to log in, just nothing happens, just goes straight back to the home page as if the page is just being refreshed. When I enter a wrong password it at least goes to an actual load screen....

btw fixed the error by changing my dsl account username. Dunno what the difference it makes, but it works.
