Ive been a beta tester for Naos 5000 and the SQAT(Surface Quality Analyser Tool) feature on that mouse tells me that S&S gett's about 8/10 in score. Compared to 3/10 on a cloth mat that means it's really good for the sensor. Naos 5000 has the same sensor as Xai so I believe you would get alot betther tracking on S&S for sure.
Perheps even no "dust on the sensor" interruption at all.
yes, the 9HD is developed with the Xai, would give the best results i guess
I have them both, the special thing about the 9HD is that it give a very constant friction. Now very low, but really steady; no matter if you press hard on the pad, or lighty move the mouse, really stable.
Func F series are huge for plastic. F30.R is the rough version and F10.S is the smooth version. Both are available in aprox 35.5x28cm and 43x28cm size.
The worst is not the jitter. Sometimes the xai picks up a piece of dust in such a perfect way that the mouse just feels slower in sensitivity. Of course, all you have to do is blow the dust out but sometimes I have actually changed my sensitivity to compensate without really remembering that it's just a dust issue. :/
Nothing wrong with the Xai tbh. At least I get that dust jitter like a couple of times but nothing too bad. Just blow in the sensor real quickly and it's gone. Isn't it just jittering when dust gets in the sensor because "it's so accurate"?
Anyway, I occasionally use a hard pad like the icemat or 9HD and they both are noticeably better for that problem since they don't pick up dust as easily as a cloth
