The 50th ZOTAC QL Duel Cup will be played this Sunday. The cup format still consists of SE brackets using bo1 until the quarter finals. Then the semi-finals will be played as bo3, and the final as bo5.

For this 50th edition, ZOTAC decided to offer a special price to the winner instead of the usual 100€. This time, the top dueler will be rewarded with a ZOTAC GeForce GTX 465 graphics card!

Better technology. Like dual gpu cards, with one small time vga chip for normal browsing and youtube video watching, plus the 3d beast which one boots up specifically when gaming.

172 Watt idle power when not gaming though is hardly justifiable.

idle power consumption is not that high compared to other cards (172 watts vs 163 watts on a 5850 for the WHOLE system... read again), it's the load power draw that's way to high.

zotac should just cylce out map(s) from week to week on a regular basis would get some variety and feedback on possible mappools

Then it should also need system where players pick maps, not remove or something like force specific 1st map for each round, otherwise people will just play same old maps.

It should be

bo1 = remove until one map is left
bo3 and up = players pick a map in turns and if a decider map is needed remove until one map is left

Also in pick situations players should be allowed to pick the same map as their opponent (but not the same map twice obviously).

is it possible to check if the server has it turned on somehow?

i though its just my imagination but sometimes i can see my opponent flashing while beein spawn fragged and i need to deliver much more dmg to kill him

Phrantic's actually a pretty good map, even with the rail being there. The lack of mega and fact that there's a rail means it's a pretty offensive map much like Hektik/Aerowalk but without so much teleporter play so it becomes a lot more standoffish

Yawn aerowalk. They say it's a much more exciting map than Dm6. All I see are matches with ROCKET SPAM, GRENADE SPAM, RAIL SHOTS ALL DAY, MORE SPAM. At least hektik lets players move around more and gives a person out of control more space to work.
Either T9 or hektik in map pool. Let's get rid of aero.
