try using very high values for mouseaccel and mouseacceloffset - like 10 to test this
you wont notice any accel until moving your mouse very fast - the high accel kicks in and makes you do a 720° or something :P

another way to check this is measuring the cm/360 with any accel value and with accel 0, it'll be the same unless you dont move the mouse to fast and offset kicks in

tried it, but i am generally not in using accel, but it sounds like the fine tuneable version of accel. just some info to consider for further research

im not sure whether u re an accel user or not cos ive never had an occasion to read your cfg

but from my lil experience if u havent been using accel so far and u want to start just go with style 0 as everybody elese does

the less is there to tweak the better

I use 1 because the other accelstyle feels totally random to me. Forgot what cl_mouseAccelOffset does though.. has been a while since I last messed around with that stuff.

No, especially for those of us who still play q3, switching back and forth between accel types makes no sense.

I did try it for a while, but I played fine for years in q3 using regular accel... why change this late in the game.

Played with, and without, played on 0 and on 1.

There's a trade off that can be toned down with mouse accel 1 which is present in playing with or without accel. With flicks being more consistent, and manageable at least in my exp.

You can be twitchy or use higher sens if you use old accel, so I've played mostly without it, then on QL I started messing around and always came to some level of consistent aim that was the same for each of styles.

It just depend on what you prefer, also on your mouse, sens , DPI , grip style etc.

Try out some stuff and fine tune your aim with it, that's all you can do.
