Most lol that dh qualifier(the only spot for the invite tournament) and fnatic dh qualifier is on the same date.

I think they timed it so that you can play both Kaspersky Main Event and BeatIt Qualifier consecutively

Got the same intentions, despite I don´t see some realistic chances for me to advance after round 1, but since these kind of competitions are held on a very high level, I pretty much welcome the training!

My aim is always to pass the first round :D

On what? Are you hoping that if you win some team would pick you up and pay for you in less than 1 month? That's a big risk and you potentially ruin it for people that would actually go. I didn't even see you at ESWC UK and that's local.

I'm not saying it's your fault though, there are no restrictions in place by these organisations to stop that.

ESWC was up in manchester weren't it? Was too far i think. Anyway, I would probrably hope for either money from myself or something else idk, you don't ruin anything either, every professional has gone to one lan for experience and done badly I'd imagine, It's not my fault If i qualify and go, i really couldn't care less If i earnt my place into something and wanted to go.

I will post the following in the 2 concerned threads, so sorry if you're seeing the same post a couple of times, I just want to be sure my rage is fully thrown out.

Dreamhack announced their qualifier (started 13:00 CET)

fantic beat-it rescheduled their (started 17:00 CET)

then out of the blue comes the necrocup (started 13:00 CET as well)

Now, first of all I don't understand why the organizers of that necrocup picked this time and date knowing there's also the Dreamhack qualifier overlapping their cup.

Then, secondly and most important, I don't understand why some players signed up for BOTH the DH qualifier and the necrocup, thus causing huuuuuuuuge delays in the DH qualifier, then implicitly in the fnatic beat-it qualifier. I mean seriously, you just can't get enough or what the fuck? You know they both happen at the same time and you know you're bound to be late for games on one or the other tourney. Not only you're delaying everything, but you're just showing a lack of respect to your opponents who had to sit there and wait for you 20-30 or more minutes at times...

Because of all this, the Dreamhack qualifier closed with a delay of around 3 hours. I had to stream for 7 hours straight! But what do these players care, they just play 20-30 mins and they're either out or move on. They don't give a fuck about causing delays and whatnot. Well thank you guys, thank you very much!

Thirdly, I have to talk about the admins a little. Blaze and slayzah are great nice guys, maybe too nice I would say. Except guard who was thrown out of the qualifier today for being close to 1 hour (!) late for his game, many more default wins should have been handed out imo to the players that were on time and had to wait for their opponents. Don't be afraid to kick them out guys, they're just mocking your whole tournament in the end.

@guard: I have nothing personal against you, but please explain to me this logic. You were signed on both the Dreamhack qualifier and the Necrocup. You theoretically had a pretty good chance to win both considering the signed up players.

Prize for winning DH qualifier: a spot at the event itself!
Prize for winning the necrocup: 30$ headphones...

Please, help me understand this...I mean c'mon headphones can't be that expensive in Lithuania...

All this Quake Live activity and tournaments is great, it really is. But it's all growing chaotically, and this is not a good thing. At this rate we will have all tournaments overlapping eachother, players taking ages to play a game and lots of people just wasting a lot of time in the process. The "I don't give a fuck anymore" factor will eventually kick in and then nobody will even be bothered to take them tournaments seriously. And it's so easy to just co-ordinate things, it just needs a better communication from everybody. From tournament organizers to admins and players.

I totally Understand to your RAGE and I consider it as a mistake of players, that should be reasonable and should be able to realize, that playing in BOTH tournaments is UNPOSSIBLE!
- But with my 13 years in Quake community, I have seen this before

NecroCup was aimed for mid-level players, that should enjoy possibility of playing NecroCup while BEST fight for spots at DreamHack Winter 2010.
- We were SURPRISED, how players react to our cup ad we are really GLAD that so much players come to support our tournament. THANK YOU and we HOPE you come again for next event.

NecroCup will be continuing next week and we would like to make this regular event, that would take place in your schedule.
- There will be several Online Events and we are considering to add some LAN events that would take place in several locations across Czech Republic, Slovakia and Ukraine as well.

It's appreciated what you do with these cups for the community, but maybe next time you will pick a day and a time that's completely available and it's not overlapping any other cup. Just to avoid all these double sign-ups.

And even if you don't, then I hope admins won't be so nice anymore and start kicking out the players who are very late.

On the other hand in this situation it is up to the admins to enforce the rules and not let players wait endlessly, so a few more default losses would have been in order.

you are simply too kind to consider why players are late - it is their own problem.

Its about players what cup they choose and what cup they want to play and if they are signed for more, admins shouldnt wait for them if they are playing other cup. There is some schedule and thats it. Its players choise if they will play both and from my view - if there is situation like this, i can say: hey, play this cup or its default loss for you. If you have some other stuff ( tournament/whatever ) dont play this cup and thats it.
I think its better to see more tounrmanets and if there is one better and one worse, its better for players that pros will play for spot on lan and others for headphones.
