do you remember last years december (?) update?

hitboxes have gone cylindric, but the diameter remains, that means from an 45° angle, the hitbox is now 45 % smaller.

with the highly balanced weapons in quake live (every weapon got its use, it dis/advantages, a balanced dps,...) you hardly can outbrain an opponent in a 1:1 stack fight, aim is the only thing that counts in that relation anymore. the lower the average dps, the more consistent aim pays off.

with a year of experience, many (pro) players feel like fighting went into the wrong direction with this update.

It's simple really. The old hitboxes were just more fun to play with - maybe because it was easier to hit but mostly because it didn't require hardcore aim to win as much as it does now. If you aim was off then, you could still win if you played it smart. If your aim is off now? gg.
