I think this would work pretty well for both cheating :p and learning to time without looking at the clock.

You set up a timer with like 22 sec for armor, you press a button when you pick them up, the mouse reminds you with a rumble that the imtem will spawn soon.

If you're going to patent the idea, make sure you add lots of flashing snake logos, gloss sides that react horribly to human skin, a weird shape, a sensor with terrible prediction and/or heavy positive/negative acceleration and make sure that you get plenty of pros to say they use it whilst they stick with WMOs.
