a)there're non-120hz LCD screens in Kiev, aim whores wont succeed ;S
b) there's USB 3.0 and ppl have problems adjusting usb rate(dunno if it's rly a problem, got usb2.0), be ready
c) Cooller is waiting for his abyssus to arrive: says he cant be arsed to set wmo on win7 every time + mouz constantly pushing him to use razer peripherals. He's also switching to other pad, prolly megasoma(which is weird concidering his base non-accel sens is already lower than strenx' )

Well, the liftoff distance is enormous. I usually lift my mouse very little (actually I simply tilt mouse a bit, so it still glides on surface on one side, but the sensor is lifted off), and I could never get used to Abyssus on a lot of mouse pads I've tried. For me it only works okay-ish on bare surfaces like wooden table, but then I get lots of jitter in unpredictable places, and cursor often jumps somewhere suddenly.
To use it, for example, on Razer Goliathus, I had to lift it off somewhere up to the ceiling and then throw it back at new place on mouse pad, I've rarely seen players with such mouse movement style.

i used it on roccat sota, razer goliathus speed and steelseried 4D, it doest jitter in any of those pads, to get rid of high lod just put some transparent tape over the mouse sensor hole....

atm he have so bad shape thats its the best moment to change mouse, he wont lose much but mb also win some extra $ from sponsors

What I dislike about stermy is that whenever he loses he always whines and says he was uncomfortable with the montior/desk/chair/temperature/location/weather blah blah blah, he can never admit defeat.

Not to mention I have never ever ever heard him say that he got enough practice. Every single interview he gives, he says that he did not get enough practice. OH I WAS BUSY DID NOT GET PRACTICE PITY ME!

He's not the only one who does these kinds of things, half the QL players pretend they didnt get enough practice or that the monitors is screwed up or something, a good player overcomes any obstacle. If you can't, you're not good.

To me, this sounds wrong. You either invite people to a tournament for their accomplishments OR you make them play a qualifier. Doing both is just weird, i can't think of any other sport where this would be the case.

First gamescom and then the European finals are both events of their own. (Just like the Australian and American tournaments)
Besides that they also both give the opportunity to secure a slot for the World finals, which is also an event of it's own.
The only other thing that seems to be confusing you, is that it is not possible to secure two spots for the world finals.

not showing up and using a wildcard will both produce penalty points.
If you have 20 or more penalty points. Yet, he had 37 at the time of the news and there may have been a chance to at least play at dreamhack, since some players did that.

at some point they simply have to enforce the rules or other players will see it as an excuse to also miss their games, which can turn into a nightmare for future tournaments. And postponing games is already way too common.
On top of that you have to remember that they already pulled several strings so that stermy could even attend this groupstage.


That said, I still think that if someone cancels for kiev or later for the world final, they might do another "last chance" qualifier.
