im looking for ports for old games to run on windows 7 etc. dosbox is ok but can be a pain to set up sometimes and run right so i want to get a list of ports for any game at all. could either be a fan made project with new assets or a port that uses the original game data.

http://swars.vexillium.org/ - Syndicate Wars port that works flawlessly, need the original files.

http://blog.1amstudios.com/ - Carmageddon port or atleast it was until the guy got a cease and desist order. so now its called OpenC1 which has legal assets created by the community, still in early stages. it will run the carmageddon demo if youuse that data folder, ive also tried it with the carmageddon retail but it crashed.
