on a more serious note, your friend are retarded; people usually need time to accept new styles on someone who doesn't frequently change their looks.
if you like something on yourself just go with it for a month or two. i wouldn't recommend shaving your head though, it look heinous on most people.

if you have a big forehead don't even consider shaving it bald, you look like you'd have cancer/you're a mad scientist. The idea is to keep it from distracting your field of view, look around, if you see fine without hair getting in your way then you don't need a haircut, but if it's for the looks then cutting excessive hair and removing thick bundles is ok. Also i'm gonna stop now, otherwise i might consider myself a homo, gl.

He doesn't have to shave it completely bald, I usually shave mine but leave a few mm's and i don't like like a cancer patient, even though i'm very white :)

I never styled my hair i just cut that shit when it gets too annoying, tho usually i'm way2lazy and just let it grow all over the place up to the point i wake up with hair in my mouth :s i get a lot of shit for having long hair and even had a few brawls with some random twats on the street. My friends/family got used to it though *shrug*

Haha, i know what you mean. There is this phase, several months long, where your hair is neither short nor long, and you look absolutely ridiculous, like a retarded caveman. That's the hardest part to go through. :E

Also, long hair require lots of maintenance. Regular washing is an absolute MUST, or else you end up with dandruff, itchy skin and your hair starts falling out. Nasty business... not only it takes time to fix it, you'll 99% need to cut your hair at that point.

that's my reasoning, plus i have a crazy amount of hair so any kind of cut even if it's wrong just looks the same :D I refuse to pay cash for a haircut that always ends up looking bad anyways.
