Definitely. It would be nice to see other players like Chance and griffin and dkt make concerted efforts to get practice in and become contenders, but I guess they have other things going on they'd rather focus on. Or their mom took away their PC. :)))

Sorry what? He was always near the top but never top, kind of like cha0tics. Fatal1ty/Zero4/CZM were all far better at their respective peaks.

came very, very close to beating toxjq at 2006 wcg monza italy. This was when toxjq was most dominant in Q4, and before av3k was right at the very top. Really talented player, doesnt get credit for how good he really is :(

Well fatal1ty nearly took out toxjq at WSVG finals and actually won 3-2 in maps but toxjq won the 2nd BO3 and that was when toxjq didn't even drop a map during the tournament. He 2-0'd toxjq in the first BO3

I hope he continues because he kept pretty much every match fairly close. If he was lucky he might have been able to pull out two wins or so.

I think the biggest things I see in his game is that his aim is very shaky (I think he might want to adjust sensitivity or fov), and that he pulls out LG way too often, in close range, when rockets might be far more useful.

Usually I prefer to read, not comment anything, however in this case I can throw an exception. I am very glad that there is no flame or hate in this thread yet (as you can usually find on ESR). Let's show this person the respect he deserves.

Great personality. Shame that his interview was this short. I imagine what he had to say if he was given a chance for a longer interview and was asked a lot more of interesting questions.

I do want to see more CZM in the future, as everyone here, I believe. Let's just hope we will!

yeah, he could really ask at least a bit about his studies and life in general since quake is just a small part of it now

Its not your place to tell people what they can or cannot comprehend on a topic and simplify it to its most basic manner. If that were the case nobody would ever learn anything about anything.

Most people can grasp the concept that maths is split into many specialised areas which is what the guy was asking about. he wasn't asking for equations.

Trying to simplfy it as "math" and then making out that most people are too stupid to hear a slightly more defined definiton only makes you look stupid.

Nice interview with some good insights. Interesting how analytic he approaches every aspect of his game. I'm glad to hear that he still wants to compete, I really thought this was his last tournament and that he would quite and focus on his job after the IEMs.

Job? He has a PhD in math, LOL. If anything we should see him more often now, there's nothing outside of Academia for a math PhD.
