hektik is like, rapha can't be 5 steps ahead, because the map only allows for two steps... i also find it kind of dull

People need to realize that QL is as well-balanced as it could be, apart from minor tweaks. Reverting to OSP/CPMA with overpowered LG, slower rockets, will simply turn QL into Q3.

The +back problem lies in the map pool. First, we need to throw out the old maps, the maps that people have virtually memorized and are impossible to be creative on. Second, we need to put maps in the pool that cater to +forward and faster play. Maps that have less armor, are smaller, and where weapons are not readily available.

Hektik is a great example, and toxicity looks like another map with potential. Throw out DM13, bring in toxicity. Perhaps we can also replace ztn with t9. T7 ought to be replaced, ultimately. T4 and aerowalk are the better of the old school maps.

We need to replace old maps indeed, but with something similar layout wise... if you look the level design of hektik/toxicity... they are just far from ztn/dm6/dm13/t7 layout. I just don't like maps like that, so I wish ztn go and make a new map :<.

T9 pls, map is so much more fun to watch than snoozefest T7.

It's nice that people are having fun and all, but we must admit that map sucks badly. Will never be played @ competitive quake.

sorry, but this map is shit. it fits to q4 more with this scattered boxes all around on which u have to jump to get powerups and plenty of green waters. corridors are still so narrow . this tournament will be the last where this map should be played

o wow boxes u have to navigate and jump around on to actually get to items instead of fucking rectangular rooms with no topography and no real movement required. what a fucking bummer ay?

tbh honest zhu vs Kronic was far more entertaining than noctis vs fazz to watch.
It didn't seems that fazz had played a lot of match on this map though.

Balance is only reasonable between things, all of which are desired, but impossible to attain at the same time. Slow +back maps are not desired at all and should be eliminated.

Maybe the comeback maps are somehow interesting, especially round 5 with 2 overtimes, on how to play when out of control and maybe some positional play too. Sadly I didn´t manage it to convert this knowledge to my last round vs uashadow. His pov should be found on an archived stream from cyberfight.ru.

I hope that´s alright... Besides of that, just spec some random public matches, sometimes you have luck and can find noctis, spartie or some other very good players practicing ;)
